Cinemassively: Rock 'n' Troll trailer
If you're a fan of cheesy B-movies of yesteryear, then you'll love Rock 'n' Troll. Kilh clearly spent quite a bit of time "researching" films to get the right look and feel. Despite it being his first experience with Adobe After Effects, this is the kind of project that will be an instant classic. The storyline is a confusing web of bankers, rockers, rapters, and murlocs. There's also blood everywhere and not a trace of WoW lore in sight. It's refreshing to see a story come out that isn't tied to the game in any way other than principal filming. With no final deadline in place for the full movie release, I'll be anxiously pacing the floor!
WoW Moviewatch: Rock 'n' Troll trailer
There are few trailers that leave me anxious to see the final result. However, Kilh is a genius. From the beginning to the end, this trailer is just full of brilliance. If you can believe it, this was his first work using Adobe After Effects! You can read about his movie progress on his blog.I asked Kilh what the machinima would be about, and his description left me scratching my head. Apparently the Rock 'n' Troll plot involves a banker that dreams of being a rockstar whose raptor is stolen by evil murlocs that plan to brainwash the world. Did I mention the superevil mini-zombie-tauren minions? He's going for the cheesy 80s B-movie look and feel. I can't wait!Previously on Moviewatch ...

Adobe After Effects 7: Now with Flash export!
According to MacCentral, Adobe has just released Adobe After Effects 7, which now, thanks to the recent acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe, has an export to Flash feature. The software comes in two flavors: Professional (or as I like to call it, $999 is outrageously expensive) and Standard (or $699 is still too much). It comes in both Macintosh and Windows versions, although there is no mention yet of an Intel-based Macintosh version.I've always wanted After Effects, and I've never been able to afford it. *sigh*
