Being born into royalty is a great thing if you're on top, or at least next in line for the throne - everyone else is just stuck waiting to even touch a crown for years. According to a Famitsu interview with Tales of Zestiria Producer Hideo Baba, as translated by Siliconera, protagonist Alicia holds the lowest-ranking seat among her family. That's alright though, as Alicia seems much more interested in filling the role of a knight than waiting around to rule. She's described as being a bit on the serious side, which will offset the more upbeat, optimistic attitude of her traveling partner, Slay. Baba also said that Zestiria's combat will use "an evolved form of the current linear-motion battle system." As we learned from Zestiria's debut trailer, a series-first focus on dragons will be present, but it's still unknown to what extent that theme will be covered.

Though it may never live the proper life it should have, Sony Ericsson's now-canned W707 is alive and well in these spy shots. Of course, being that the Alicia is officially dead, you won't find any updated specifications or a super-secret release date, but the gallery of images in the read link is a mighty fine look at what could've been. It's never too late, SE...[Via DailyMobile, thanks Daniel]

Nice to see more info about Alicia crop up before Sony Ericsson's June17th blow-out, and as an added bonus, forum user Phoner from Esato has shared a video of it in action. What immediately stands out on this new set are the two screens on the front of the phone, one pretty standard hidden job and the other on the control wheel. While the weather updates being shown on the control are pretty lame -- we can usually sort the current weather while using the phone outdoors -- though, other applications, such as album art make this a potentially cool feature. Sadly nothing more here, but we're expecting great things come announcement day so in the interim, carry on to check out the vid.

  • Sony Ericsson Alicia in the mix?

Alright, take your eyes off that C905 for just one second and check this out, will ya? This previously unknown Sony Ericsson clamshell is apparently known as Alicia, offering Walkman branding, a positively massive set of external music controls on a dial of some sort, and what looks like brushed aluminum casing around a keypad without any tactile response whatsoever. Probably not the best phone to take into an ad hoc texting competition, we figure. Little else is known about Alicia at this point, but with some Sony Ericsson announcements lined up for June 17, she could very well be tucked into that docket somewhere.[Via Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog, thanks Adrian]
