Welcome to another Monday, a day when most of us with jobs or school must go back to that place we just love to spend most of our time each week. That is, unless you're one of the lucky few who just sit around waiting for the Wii and DSi shops to update. If you fall into the latter group, we'd just like to thank you for waking up this early to check out what's available for download today on the Wii and DSi. It's nice of you to do so considering you don't have any obligation to be up before noon. Boy, that must be nice. So head past the break and see what's available already!

Without a doubt, the highlight of this week's WiiWare, Virtual Console, and DSiWare offerings in Europe is Pilotwings, the SNES launch title that should have been on the Virtual Console in 2006. It has finally arrived in PAL territories, and we have high hopes for a North American release soon. (Which we really shouldn't.) The other new additions are actually pretty great as well: Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Pop! Plus Solo are now up on DSiWare, and two distinctly different paddle games, Bit.Trip: Core and Arkanoid Plus, are on WiiWare: Pilotwings (SNES, 800 Wii Points) Bit.Trip: Core (WiiWare, 1 player, 600 Wii Points) Arkanoid Plus (WiiWare, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points) Pop! Plus Solo (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

Square Enix just sent out what may be the biggest news of the year for Taito lovers, confirming North American releases for two anticipated DS games and three more WiiWare games (in addition to Bubble Bobble Plus!, which launched this week). Most exciting of all: Space Invaders Extreme 2 is on the way to the DS this fall. We aren't all going to have to import European copies! Space Bust-a-Move will precede it in stores, releasing on July 28.In WiiWare, we can look forward to all the Taito games we've seen in Japan so far. Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! will be available for download on June 15. Bust-a-Move Plus!, which features 135 new levels and 270 levels from previous Bust-a-Moves as DLC, is expected later this summer, as is Arkanoid Plus! We're looking forward to an all-Taito summer as we await the release of Space Invaders Extreme 2!%Gallery-63069%%Gallery-63070%

Under normal circumstances, by far the biggest news on the Japanese Wii Shop this week would be Final Fantasy. Square Enix actually delivered the game on time to Virtual Console, and didn't even take the opportunity to jack the price up. Even if it is ancient, 500 points for a classic RPG is a great deal! But circumstances aren't normal this week: Muscle March, the game of posing a line of Speedo'd bodybuilders to run through walls in order to catch the thief who stole their protein powder, is out. Also on WiiWare, though less muscle-related: Arkanoid Plus!, a WiiWare release similar to the Arkanoid game for XBLA, and NEVES Plus.Virtual Console: Final Fantasy (Famicom, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) Splatterhouse (Arcade, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) WiiWare: Arkanoid Plus! (1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Hamekomi Lucky Puzzle Wii (1-4 players, 500 Wii Points) 3℃ (1-2 players, 700 Wii Points) Muscle Koushinkyoku (Muscle March) (1-4 players, 800 Wii Points)
