This post is running a little behind the times, as Chronicle of the Annoying Quest: Ep 32 has actually been out for a little while. This is the beginning of the final season for the Chronicle, a final send-off of the plots, characters, and gags that have been running for 31 previous videos.I want to take a moment and point out the immense amount of time, consistency, and effort displayed by the crew of the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest. The dedication they've shown to this series has been absolutely amazing. It can be incredibly difficult creating and authoring with Chronicle's consistency, not to mention the amount of work and organization that must go into keeping track of this much video inventory. The team are probably very proud, and they absolutely should be.My favorite bit of this video is, as usual, the characterization of the Blood Elf. I know, it's shallow, but they nail it exactly on the head. Every time I see a belf do that hip-cock head-tilt thing, that's pretty much exactly the voice I hear in my head. One of my joys about this job is that I get to watch machinima and WoW movies alongside my beloved Draenei fiancee. It's part of our daily routine, and it's a great thing to do together. It definitely helps supplement my machinima knowledge, though, because she's much more a music geek than I am.When I played Baka Savant and Wicked Wood's Worgen of Stormwind for the first time, she completely and utterly fell in love with it. She kept saying how musically intelligent it was, and how smart the creator was in handling the complexities of the original song. Me? I just totally geeked out to the idea of Worgen running rampant in the Alliance capital city. The video and the song are both incredibly fun, and I think the clean, sharp animation style lets you enjoy the music even while geeking out to the Worgen. Of course, we're all hoping that the video gets updated when playable Worgen hit the scene. But until then, aaaawooooooo! Worgen in Stormwind! Interested in the wide world of machinima? I have to agree with Kamuraki who said, when speaking about the song used in the Bells of Northrend, "Trans-Siberian Orchestra did the most AWESOME version of Carol of the Bells that will ever be done in the history of mankind. Maybe some alien race will do a better cover some day, but I doubt it.""The Bells of Northrend" is Baka Savant's submission to A Very Northrend Christmas contest. It's a music video set to the sights of Northrend, obviously. The music playing is "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (I've had the good fortune to see them in concert twice, and they do in fact rock.) I think the Northrend imagery lines up incredibly well, which is probably a no-brainer given the winter weather. But the landscape of white-forests, vast stone architecture, and crystal landscapes works well with screaming guitars shredding their power chords. I mean, it is all very metal when you get down to it, and isn't that the point?[Via Myndflame]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

This is the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest: Ep. 30. Something about the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest is starting remind me of that line from Spaceballs. Next up, Pongo reviews "Rocky Five...thousand." I wouldn't hate seeing Baka Savant get that far, if the episodes keep being so amusing. There's different takes on whether or not you have to see all the episodes to "get" the humor. Some say you do, others say you don't. I say, "Why wouldn't you want to watch them all?" I had plenty of fun with my first episode, and I had plenty of fun with this episode as a stand-alone. But, the series is entertaining and worth the time to check it all out. Do yourself the favor and get caught up on the series. Trying to avoid spoilers, I'll simply point out that this is the last episode before the season finale. I'm excited to see that finale, and felt like there's appropriate moments of buildup in this episode to get us there. Thanks to Baka Savant Productions for another awesome installment.
