This post is running a little behind the times, as Chronicle of the Annoying Quest: Ep 32 has actually been out for a little while. This is the beginning of the final season for the Chronicle, a final send-off of the plots, characters, and gags that have been running for 31 previous videos.I want to take a moment and point out the immense amount of time, consistency, and effort displayed by the crew of the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest. The dedication they've shown to this series has been absolutely amazing. It can be incredibly difficult creating and authoring with Chronicle's consistency, not to mention the amount of work and organization that must go into keeping track of this much video inventory. The team are probably very proud, and they absolutely should be.My favorite bit of this video is, as usual, the characterization of the Blood Elf. I know, it's shallow, but they nail it exactly on the head. Every time I see a belf do that hip-cock head-tilt thing, that's pretty much exactly the voice I hear in my head. Some of the language in this movie may not be appropriate for work.Apt-T Productions is back with the well-anticipated Dude, Where's My Mount? Episode 8 -- Awww Nuts. In terms of ongoing, serial machinima, the DWMM legacy has really been growing. Between DWMM and the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, fan-film viewers are truly starting to get meaningful, full seasons of entertainment. In this episode, our bewildered heroes return from the really real world (man), and land back in Azeroth. After a bit of confusion, they get chased around by dragons. And that's when they find the Elf Girl. Interestingly, the credits to this episode thank Felicia Day. (You might have heard of her.) Was the Elf Girl voice-acted by Felicia? I wasn't sure, and couldn't pick out the voice to be certain. Anyway, hijinks continue, and the pair of heroes find themselves in the midst of a squirrel army.I really feel like DWMM is getting better and better. Like so many serial novels and fiction, the longer the characters exist to gain life and depth, the more interesting they become. The comedic stride is also clearly evolving, as I find myself smiling and laughing a little more with each episode.Edit: Voice credits at the end conifrm Chelsea Sprauer performed the Elf Girl. • WoW Moviewatch: Neon Genesis WoW

Kamuraki created this opening sequence parody for Chronicle of the Annoying Quest based off Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's called Neon Genesis WoW. As a result of its anime origins, your mileage may vary according how much you consider yourself an anime fan. Still, I don't think you have to be otaku to enjoy the sequence. I'm a character-driven story kind of guy, so I like the emphasis the movie puts on the characters. There's hints to relationships (that may or may not exist), and all kinds of questions created from even such a simple sequence. I think it works, even if Kamuraki just meant for it to be a fun parody. Click here to see the movie!

This is the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest: Ep. 30. Something about the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest is starting remind me of that line from Spaceballs. Next up, Pongo reviews "Rocky Five...thousand." I wouldn't hate seeing Baka Savant get that far, if the episodes keep being so amusing. There's different takes on whether or not you have to see all the episodes to "get" the humor. Some say you do, others say you don't. I say, "Why wouldn't you want to watch them all?" I had plenty of fun with my first episode, and I had plenty of fun with this episode as a stand-alone. But, the series is entertaining and worth the time to check it all out. Do yourself the favor and get caught up on the series. Trying to avoid spoilers, I'll simply point out that this is the last episode before the season finale. I'm excited to see that finale, and felt like there's appropriate moments of buildup in this episode to get us there. Thanks to Baka Savant Productions for another awesome installment. • WoW Moviewatch: Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, Episode 28

It's been so long since Moviewatch took a look at the Chronicle of the Annoying Quest that two more episodes have come out since then. It's interesting, though, that Bakasavant starts off both episodes very slowly, taking a bit too long to get to the point. In Episode 27, there's some messing about with flying mounts that, although somewhat humorous, doesn't add much to the story.

It's been a while since we've written about Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, but honestly, after two years and 26 episodes, we're still not sure what's going on. This seems to be a series that you either love, or hate. Still, you can't fault Bakasavant Productions for being so dedicated to something. Their large fan base certainly doesn't.In Episode 26, the Horde characters relive the gay cruise encounter from Episode 25, while the Alliance characters end up in the Shimmering Flats of Thousand Needles. While a bit shorter than usual, they manage to pack in plenty of jokes and references, including one to Death Note.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

It's been 3 weeks since the last episode of Chronicle of the Annoying Quest. Episode 23 dealt with the Alliance preparing to fight the Horde in Warsong Gulch, however things don't go as planned. In Episode 24, the Horde finally arrive in Orgrimmar, while the Alliance are introduced to some interesting new characters.Bakasavant Productions has been working on this series for ages now, but I feel like it never gets any closer to a resolution. They've improved their editing skills immensely and have better voice actors these days, but those that are new to the series are forced to watch from the beginning to even understand what's going on. What is the ultimate goal at this point?[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

It's been a couple of months since we last blogged about Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, but they've released another two episodes since then. Bakasavant Productions is practically rivaling Shepiwot in episode frequency! Admittedly, their machinimas are more effects-intensive than the How to Paladin series, though. In Episode 23, the Alliance prepare to fight the big, bad Horde in Warsong Gulch, but hit a snag in their plans. Meanwhile, the Horde encounter trouble in the Barrens. What will happen to the (Alliance) Scooby Gang? Tune in around the third week of May to find out![Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

I'm pretty sure that Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, by Bakasavant Productions, had a plot at one point. However, every episode I watch seems to veer further away from it. With 21 episodes, over two seasons, in the can, you'd think it would be getting somewhere by now.Episode 21 is a Dr. Who tribute, where a time mage sends them on an adventure after the villains. They geek out while discussing their favorite actors from the TV show. Once again, I'm left bewildered as to what will happen next and how it wraps up. It's a decent series, though![Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch ...

Bakasavant Productions has finished another episode of Chronicle of the Annoying Quest! The good guys are getting further in their quest, but experience some setbacks, including a cavity search. The bad guys are also hindered by their female companion's vanity. In the end, a meeting takes place between the elders and the recruits, where they are tasked with stopping Juran. This series is far from flashy, but I find it enjoyable. While they may not use many special effects, and the voice acting could definitely use work, they consistently produce solid episodes. Look out for a cameo by Drewbie, of The Grind series, at 4:25! If you liked Episode 20, check out the high quality version.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

(Today's Moviewatch was previously intended to be the premiere of Illegal Danish 2: Escape from Orgrimmar. Unfortunately, Myndflame.com was hacked yesterday and the screening was delayed. As soon as it is up, it will be featured here.)Myndflame is hard at work on a server fix, so you're going to have some extra time on your hands. Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, created by Bakasavant Productions, has 19 episodes for you to peruse! While they're not perfect, lacking in proper voice casting and stunning visuals, the storyline is pretty decent.CotAQ tells the tale of a paladin that joins a Holy Order to get chicks. As he quests to become accepted by his peers, Ellers, and his sidekick, Guy, encounter obstacles along the way. For those of you that are new to the series, there is a recap at the beginning to catch you up.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

With an entire 17-episode season under their belt, Bakasavant Productions is preparing for another action-packed season of Chronicle of the Annoying Quest. Set in World of Warcraft, it is the tale of a paladin, Ellers, that is on a quest to become accepted by his peers in the Holy Order. Rumor has it that Ellers and his trusty sidekick, Guy, are only doing it so that they can get into a bar in Stormwind!Needless to say, many obstacles get in the way of their goals, including a case of mistaken identity! If you enjoyed this Machinima, you can check out Season 1 on their YouTube page, however, they also offer higher quality viewing in the form of sponsorship on their site, which entitles you to receive a free DVD. In the meantime, you should take a gander at their early episode outtakes, which are quite funny!
