German Lord of the RIngs Online site Lotro-welten hosted its monthly dev chat with LotRO devs and community managers. Many of the questions for this dev chat focused on the new public PvMP dungeon, the Delving of Frór and the changes to the Creeps system. But most were requests for features that the devs didn't have any immediate plans to implement (translation: you no get!) One participant complained that many questions were asked covering information that has already been announced. The devs explained that not all players read patch notes, etc. and the dev chats are another way to get information out to the public. So be prepared for a certain amount of repetition. That being said, there was little new information to be gleaned. The few nuggets we found are: The Hobbies system will be introduced in Book 13 with the long requested Fishing ability. More Hobbies are planned in the future. A Shaman PvMP class is in the works for Book 13. That may not be the final name of the class, but the basic skills and abilities are in place. Monster play Infamy/Reknown costs will be lowered considerably in Book 12 to allow players to level faster in PvMP. A full transcript of the chat can be found on Lotro-welten's site.%Gallery-14799%

  • Team features will play a big role in Jericho

IGN received what they call an "eyes-on" preview of Clive Barker's Jericho and got the inside scoop on how the game's team features will work. You see, in Jericho each one of your seven squad members has different abilities and weapons that you have to strategically give orders to so they can unleash death on the enemy. And if the whole giving orders thing isn't getting the job done, one can switch between characters to take a hands on approach at any time. It'll be interesting to see if the whole team dynamic thing will be implemented correctly or if it'll end up being the bastard child of a feature that nobody cares for. No matter, because we know that Jericho is crazy scary and will feature skinless freaks of nature that are hell bent on eating your soul in demonic ways. Which will make the game somewhat fun even if it only lasts fifteen minutes.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner. After 20 years, all the little girls and boys who wished they were on a retreat in the Catskills learning dance moves from Patrick Swayze will finally get their wish. Syncing up with the movie's platinum anniversary, Codemasters is releasing a Dirty Dancing ... "casual puzzle action" title?! We want the time of our life, we want to feel life we've never felt before, so we swear, and this is the truth, we want DDR Dirty Dancing. Who would even think to contain the Swayze in a "casual puzzle action" title?Anne Parducci, vice president of marketing at Lionsgate film says, "For two decades, girls and women have identified with Baby, and through this wonderful game from Codemasters, they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in her world like never before." But what if a boy wants to dance with Jennifer Grey instead of the Swayze? Options people, give the gamer options.
