We're not quite sure we understand the motivation behind this union of 'hoff and Burnout Crash. Is it because Burnout is a game about cars, and Hasselhoff just wants you to jump in his car?

A couple of notes for MusicSkins, LLC. First, Never use the word "bling" in your PR. Ever. Second, if David Hasselhoff hears that you're licensing images from legendary recording artists to "custom-bling" Seagate hard drives and you leave him out of it, you'll soon find your office deluged with phone calls, faxes, and emails from the man, desperate to get in on the action. (And we know all about his tenacity: we've been involved in at least one hot Hollywood project that he's tried to shoe-horn his way into.) Anyways, if you're inexplicably interested, check it out: MusicSkins (known for vinyl covers for laptops and iPods, among other things) has licensed a "vast range" of images from either artists or their crypt-keepers and will sell you one for your favorite Free Agent To Go HDD. Prices range from $15 to $30, although for a limited time one can receive 20 percent off any cover and 35 free songs from eMusic when registering your FreeAgent Go with Seagate. And the best news? The cover is removable, so if you ever move out of the dorms (or stop living like you're in a dorm) you can hide it somewhere.

  • The Hoff has a sense of humor (when paid to)

We don't find the celebrity parodies in Ready 2 Rumble Revolution so much "funny" as "disgusting." But we're changing our tune a bit, thanks to a well-placed endorsement from David Hasselhoff, who is himself a parody (of David Hasselhoff). In this trailer for Aki's boxing game, The Hoff is presented with his pugilistic double. We don't want to spoil the reaction, because we don't want to dull the impact of a fine Hasselhoff performance. But we will say that we appreciate a somewhat disgraced celebrity more when he is willing to make fun of himself. It's a win-win for Hasselhoff -- he gets to improve his image a bit, and make a little cheeseburger money in the process!%Gallery-38364%

  • Hasselhoff taps 'celebrity card' to nab his daughter a Wii

David Hasselhoff, representative of talking cars and safe beaches the world over, recently told a very funny story to MTV Multiplayer. He says he's one to "play celebrity cards," and when his daughter said she wanted a Wii, he got busy. Calling up his local game store, The Hoff was told that no systems were left, but was quickly able to charm the clerk into admitting that the store had held one system back. "Hold that game. I will be over in 30 minutes," he said, eventually showing up to the store where a very shocked employee declared, "Knight Rider! Dude!"Obviously, the store sold him the game system, and we imagine his daughter was incredibly happy that her dad used his celebrity to get it, but wouldn't it have been faster to just call up Nintendo? We heard Iwata's hooked on a feeling.

The Hoff's life -- and bones -- are in your hands. Or at least, they will be when the expansion to Sony's PSN title, Pain, smashes into the broad side of a movie billboard next month. According to People, David Hasselhoff will be one of the characters waiting to be beaten to a pulp when Movie Studio, Pain's new movie-themed environment, is released on November 6. For someone who admits that he doesn't play games much, Hasselhoff is taking the idea of having his virtual body broken again and again in good humor, telling People that the idea of hurting himself "was just hysterical to me." The lothario also plans to inflict his own unique style of pain on players, lending his rendition of Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" to the title as an in-game track. We're honestly not sure who's getting the better end of this deal.

We're not kidding folks. David Hasselhoff (of Baywatch, Knight Rider fame) will be a playable character in the upcoming PAIN expansion, PEOPLE.com discovered. "The idea of 'hurting The Hoff' or 'hassling The Hoff' was just hysterical to me," Hasselhoff, 56, tells PEOPLE. "I don't know why, I think it was from growing up watching the Three Stooges and the idea of hurting yourself was funny to me."Not only will you be able to throw Hasselhoff around, you'll be able to listen to his cover of the classic song "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" Seriously.PAIN Movie Studio will be available in November. Watch a brand new video trailer at PEOPLE.com.[Thanks, Jason B.!]

There are some songs better left unmachinimated. Jump in My Car is so thoroughly terrifying and funny at the same time that it definitely falls under that rule. It really could be the new Rickroll. Poor David Hasselhoff is ripe for mocking, especially in this other commercial for Brewfest. For those unfamiliar, "The Hoff" was an actor in the 80s and 90s, known for such classics as Knight Rider and Baywatch. Lately, though, he's pretty much a parody of himself. Antigon went and did the unthinkable by putting him in WoW form, but I kind of like it -- in a train wreck sort of way![Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

  • Germans show undying love for Warhammer Online

We've always known that Europe -- and Germany in particular -- were big Warhammer fans. This fandom apparently loses no potency when applied to MMO versions of the franchise, as the German version of the Warhammer Online Collector's Edition has apparently sold out on Amazon. As of right now, there's no word on whether or not more copies of the CE will be produced to meet further demand, but it would be silly for Electronic Arts not to do so. Surprised? Well you probably shouldn't be, as Games Workshop has legions of thronging fans throughout Europe and usually experiences the Hasselhoff effect in Germany. If this kind of trend continues throughout the rest of Europe, we suppose that Warhammer Online's success in North America could become a bit of a moot point.Whatever happens throughout the rest of Europe, It looks like Germany is hooked on a feeling when it comes to WAR.

  • Knight Industries Three Thousand specs revealed

While you may or may not agree with NBC's decision to make KITT a Ford Mustang in the new Knight Rider series, we're pretty sure that you're gonna tune in next February nonetheless if for no other reason then to see what modern technology can do to a talking, crime-fighting car. Well luckily Popular Mechanics has what is reportedly an exclusive spec sheet detailing all of the Knight Industries Three Thousand's many capabilities, including much of the in-vehicle biometric and genetic testing you'd expect, along with such military features as laser weapons, a missile defense system, and even a targeted electromagnetic pulse for frying an enemy's gadgets or pulling off the odd casino heist. One cutting-edge device that has been left out is a breathalyzer-based ignition system, which was allegedly scrapped at the last minute after designers learned that David Hasselhoff would not in fact be getting behind the wheel this time around.[Thanks, cant0r]

  • Stereotypes, women in promotional art, and Prince Rurik

Via the magic of our tips page, we were recently submitted a link that takes a very humorous look at women in promotional videogame art. Guild Wars in particular has always taken this to ridiculous extremes; from wallpaper, to box art, to the entire website, really. And yet -- it's marketing. And marketing will always do what they think will sell best, even if it alienates other potential customers; whatever will sell to the majority. If Blizzard thought World of Stardiablo 4 would sell best with box art consisting of David Hasselhoff wearing only speedos (hey, after seeing Mr. T playing a night elf mohawk? anything can happen), that's what we'd get.
