Monday Night Combat, out next Wednesday, will be the penultimate game in the XBLA Summer of Arcade promotion. The video after the break features a pretty good overview of the gameplay and, well, BACON! Who doesn't like bacon? Even vegetarians love bacon. It's true.

It's been a long time coming, but we've finally got a good look at early alpha footage of LEGO Universe thanks to CES10. Gametrailers has a four part video of a developer walkthrough given by NetDevil's Scott Brown, and boy is it ever full of multicolored brick-y goodness. digg_url = 'http://digg.com/playable_web_games/Great_New_LEGO_Universe_Developer_Walkthrough_footage_Vids'; We're impressed by how much this game looks similar to its console brethren, especially where action and platforming elements are concerned. Of course, it wouldn't be an MMO without social elements, some of which we get to see here. More importantly, we get a look at how the developers are handling building with LEGOs in-game. The game simulates a kind of personal bubble around the player's avatar, which is strikingly similar to the metaphorical one all kids experience when sitting on the floor with a big pile of the toys. Hm, we're pretty sure NetDevil is on the right course with this one. Check out the video walkthrough after the break.

  • Nearly 20min worth of SWTOR gameplay video

If nearly 20 minutes of Star Wars: The Old Republic gameplay footage narrated by BioWare developers themselves is the kind of thing you get excited about, then today is a very exciting day for the both of us.IGN is hosting the video that's so huge it comes in four parts. Here's where it gets awesome: It'll show you lengthy gameplay for the Bounty Hunter, Smuggler and Sith Warrior classes in addition to some of the game's planets. Plus, BioWare gives you something of a director's commentary of what's happening with each of the classes. In effect, it's almost pure nerdnip.Even at almost 20 minutes long, we found ourselves feeling like it all went by far too quickly and there's a definite possibility we may re-watch it again. That seems like a good sign of things to come, at least for BioWare and not so much for our social lives. Check out all four videos after the break.

One and a half months after we got a chance to check out 2K's next open-world crime drama, Mafia II, the developer has released a video walkthrough of the segment we laid eyes on at E3. We were quite taken by the excellent voice acting and explosive action featured therein, but we're curious what you think! Check out the video after the break, but be forewarned -- they bleeped out all the totally sweet cursing out for this particular demo. What kind of third person, open-world crime drama doesn't have profanity? That's just f---ing silly. Whoa, what the f--k? Where did those f---ing letters -- oh s--t! What the f--k!?

So, Prototype, we're a little worried about you, not gonna lie. Considering the recent wave of positive inFamous reviews, talk of Crackdown 2, and APB's E3 reveal, a game we once looked forward to greatly could quite possibly fall by the wayside. Luckily, the developer walkthrough of "mission #7" (found after the break) helps to assuage our concerns and brings back some fire into our lonely, cold hearts. Unfortunately for the person piloting Prototype's main man Alex Mercer, things don't go so well and the video ends in tragedy (spoilerz! omg!). Hopefully we'll do better when we get our hands on the retail copy June 9.%Gallery-5779%

With its June release nearing and beta even closer than that, Jumpgate Evolution was looking pretty hot at GDC09 this week -- although that may have something to do with the game running on three monitors.Much of the information in the video isn't entirely new, aside from the discussion of open PvP which seems to involve the building and defending/attacking of space stations. Beyond that, we get a very close look at the sexy UI that NetDevil has put together. Also, have we mentioned that this game looks downright gorgeous? We're pretty sure that we've mentioned that at least five or twenty times. Check out the second half of the walkthrough after the break.

Were you entranced by the E3 footage of DICE's highly acrobatic action-platformer Mirror's Edge, but wished you could have seen more of the title's totalitarian cityscape? A recent developer walkthrough, showcased yesterday at PAX, might be right up your alley, over your catwalk, and onto your adjacent roof. Pop some Dramamine, then check out the video after the break to see some of the more unconventional tactics one can use to deliver a package. We just wish our trusty FedEx guy could perform l'art du déplacement with such intrepidness and grace.

The developer walkthrough provided for Capcom's upcoming swing-action retro remake, Bionic Commando, is one of the most educational videos yet to come out of the Leipzig Games Convention. Not only does the two-part sneak preview explain some of the game's core controls, but it also provides a valuable primer into the German language. For instance, we now know that the German word for "leap" is "sprung", "punch" is the phonetically pleasing "schlag", and "wenn dieser Entwickler hinunter sagt, und beschmutzt noch eine Zeit, werde ich ihn in Brand setzen" means "if this developer says 'down and dirty' one more time, I'm going to set him on fire."Both halves of the walkthrough are posted after the break. The first part focuses on a rough build of the game's training stage, while the second highlights one of Bionic's multiplayer levels. Auf was warten Sie? Klicken Sie die Verbindung!

We realize that not everybody was fortunate enough to attend E3 last week, and therefore, missed out on their first chance to get their hands on some of the expo's much-anticipated titles. This group will have to settle with living vicariously through those lucky enough to actually get some facetime with these upcoming blockbusters -- really, though, who's a better candidate to serve up a slice of secondhand gaming than the notorious creator of one of these aforementioned high profile releases?GameTrailers recently posted three Fable 2 walkthroughs given by the title's ambitious creator, Peter Molyneux. The first of which, posted above, gives a brief demo of the combat, followed by a preview of your hero/antihero's canine companion. In the second and third parts, posted after the break, Molyneux discusses contraception and murder, respectively. We'll be looking forward to getting our hands on this dog training/sexual health/township massacring simulator when it drops in October.

  • Mercenaries 2 developer walkthrough previews different 'approaches'

Those who enjoyed the economics-meets-explosions gameplay of Pandemic Studios' Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction will no doubt get a kick out of the latest trailer for the title's upcoming sequel. The three ExOps personalities we came to know and love in the first Mercs are making a comeback, and in the above video, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames lead designer Scott Warner gives us a sneak peek at how these well-trained operatives, you know, operate. The gameplay looks solid, but for those of us too busy to watch a five-minute video on a Saturday afternoon, we'll briefly break it down using A-Team archetypes: Jennifer Mui is Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Mattias Nilsson is "Howling Mad" Murdock, and Christopher Jacobs is an amalgam of John "Hannibal" Smith and B.A. Baracus -- only he doesn't pity fools. He hastily shuffles them off this mortal coil using their own grenades.
