HP tells developers to start submitting apps for Pre 3, still on track for summer launch?
Summer's whittling away folks, and with it the promised window for Palm's HP's Pre 3. Last we heard, the flagship device would miss its launch window, but a new directive from the company suggests its release isn't too far off. Registered webOS developers received an email about an updated emulator and deets regarding the App Catalog's newfound acceptance of Pre 3 submissions. Speaking of digital storefronts, the company also noted the latter's expansion into the following territories: Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore. Get this far? Sifteo announces early access details for Cubes: $99, Q1, lots of extras
We knew good and well that Sifteo's Cubits were coming in the year 2011 A.D., but little did we know we'd be seeing an update so soon, and here at CES of all places. The aforementioned company has apparently forged ahead with a name change, officially dubbing the little guys you see above "Cubes." Those looking to buy in early are certainly in for a treat, as its Early Access Program will bring a discounted rate as well as lots of extra goodies -- more for less is hard to beat, you know. At some point in Q1 of this year, $99 will enable eager early adopters to get a trio of the 1.5-inch blocks, 1000 points to purchase games and apps from the online store, a coupon to redeem once the product is launched in earnest, 50 percent off anything in the Sifteo store (up to $200) and a limited edition t-shirt. It'll be the only chance to snag a set prior to their nationwide release in the fall of this year, and if you're still wondering just how much fun you could have, head on past the break for the full release. Age of Conan early access 'sold out'
Those who wanted to pay extra to explore Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures' lands a little early are probably going to be upset to discover that "early access" is now sold out. A post on the MMORPG's official forums gives little explanation as to why this occurred, but eagle-eyed players who read the fine print point to Funcom having discussed limited availability. Looks like MMO players will need to find some other game to grind in until Conan officially begins next week. [Via Massively] %Gallery-6912%
AoC Early Access program sold out
So it seems that a lot of people want to play Age of Conan a few days early. The Early Access program that was offered to those who pre-ordered the game has sold out for all English versions of the game, with limited spots left for Germany and France. If you have a pre-order code for your in-game items, that will still work, but if you didn't actually register and buy your early access by this point, you're out of luck.This has obviously left many players upset and angry, and the forum thread that broke the news is filled with people lamenting their ruined weekend. Some direct their anger towards retailers who failed to provide their codes in time, others point the finger at Funcom. Regardless of Funcom's reason for restricting early access places, a number of forum posters have highlighted the community site's earlier mention of the limited availability: "Hurry though, because the Early Access is only available while supply lasts!". That won't help ease the pain though for those who had their hearts set on lopping heads off on the 17th.[Thanks, ScytheNoire!]
