It's an uncharacteristically packed week for WiiWare. Three games are out at once, and we've actually heard of all three. We feel like we're living in Japan! Nintendo didn't skimp on the Virtual Console either, with a new, exciting Virtual Console Arcade title -- well, new in the Virtual Console sense. It's still old. DSiWare also gets ... well, it's another set of clock and calculator apps. But they're exceptionally cute apps with Mario in them! That's still kind of worthwhile in our opinion. Maybe we just like making Mario coin sounds a little too much. Check after the break for the list of new downloads!%Gallery-40617%

Semnat Studios has announced that Eduardo the Samurai Toaster, its bizarre run-and-gun starring, well, a samurai toaster, will be available for download in North America on June 15 for 800 Wii Points. "For the price of lunch you could own an awesome single-or-cooperative sidescrolling action game," the press release says. "Support the little guy!" It remains to be seen whether Semnat's abstract running-and-gunning will be as big of an indie sensation as World of Goo, but we've been looking forward to it.Samurai Toaster features four-player drop-in cooperative play, 13 levels, each with backgrounds made using different artistic media, and toasters who are samurai. Along with the announcement, Semnat released new screens, which we've placed in our gallery. %Gallery-40617%

Semnat Studios has announced that their Independent Games Festival 2007 entry, Eduardo the Samurai Toaster, will now be released exclusively on WiiWare "this winter." The run-and-gun shooter features a unique mixed-media look and wildly varying gameplay in which one to four players "Jump, shoot, whip, drive, fly and throw your way through hordes of Peking Opera pastries, spear toting carrots, robotic mangos, and more." The co-op mode also allows players to "be annoying by throwing each other around the screen and attacking one another."We couldn't be happier to see an original WiiWare run-and-gun on the way, especially one with desirable features like "incredible funness" and "insane action that will give you tears of joy. no longer will your tears taste like sad." Taste the happy! After World of Goo, we expect to see a lot more of these indie projects on WiiWare, where they can be sold and make money.%Gallery-40617%[Via WiiWare World]
