We can't help but love Little Mac, the quintessential underdog. If seeing him on your virtual console isn't enough, though, how about seeing him around your neck in the winter? You may have also noticed that this scarf has Mike Tyson's big mug on it, so you won't have to settle for Mr. Dream. Realistically, we know you won't buy this -- after all, the scarf is a whopping $175 on Etsy. Still, we admire the craftsmanship that went into Beatboxtaun's crocheting, and we hope you do, too. We only wish we had such skills ourselves, so that we didn't have to drool over these kinds of things on Etsy all the time.In our opinion, this definitely beats out the Punch-Out mat for the best craft featuring Little Mac (that we know of).[Via Technabob]

  • NES on our pillows isn't pain in our hearts

Granted, there comes a point in your life when it should no longer look like your mom decorates your room. Still, these fantastic NES pillow cases made by Penguinotic might be too cute to resist.Given that they're 1) handcrafted, 2) video game related, and 3) on Etsy, you can bet these covers don't come cheap. Just one will cost you $40, although if you buy two you only have to pay $70. That's still an exorbitant amount of money for pillow cases, but at least there's a small deal involved. We're also not sure how practical they are, since the design might make sacrifices in terms of comfort. If your NES nostalgia runs deeper than your concerns of practicality, though, then there's no doubt that these covers will make your pillows incredibly awesome. Also, the next time you get so frustrated with a game that you want to throw your controller, you can just beat up your doppelganger pillow instead.[Via Technabob]

Love Dr. Mario above all others? Then this might be the most awesome thing you've ever seen -- or at least one of the most unique. It's a handmade tunic accented with bits of a licensed Dr. Mario fabric. Obviously, at $60, it's a little pricier than most of the gaming-related items like this we've seen, but in our esteemed opinion, it's as incredible (or more so!) than some. It's also nice and stretchy -- the better to fit a variety of sizes.

Every week it seems like we show you some sort of Space Invaders or Pac-Man themed memorabilia. We don't know why it's so hard to let go of these characters from the arcade days of yore, but it is -- so we won't.Neither will crafter Pardalote, who makes adorable beaded Invaders jewelry like the earrings shown above. The best news is, the earrings and necklaces are reasonably priced, especially for handmade items. You can see for yourself at the Australian's Etsy store here.Do any of you geekettes out there like these, too? Or is this blogger just blinded by her love for all things Space Invaders?[Via Technabob]

  • Take that, books

A crafter going by the nom-de-Etsy cyberhadji has created some incredible original Mario character art, and printed it onto (scans of) thematically appropriate vintage book pages. The effect is convincing enough, but by using photo paper instead of actual book pages, he is able to create non-fading images. The print-over-book-page technique elevates what would be lovely fan art to art, we think. In addition to the Bloober pictured above, cyberhadji has created a Frog Mario, a Baby Mario, a Lakitu, and a Cheep Cheep. There's also a wonderful series of Katamari Damacy prints that, regrettably, aren't appropriate for display on a DS blog (what with there not being a Katamari game and all.) These are perfect for the "vaguely classy but still totally nerdy" look we're all trying to pull off in our homes.[Via Wonderland]

  • You've never seen Mario so soft

We're often amazed by the amount of talent and dedication that some Nintendo fans have. We can't even imagine how long it must have taken to knit crochet such an accurate looking Mario softie.Even so, we wouldn't pay $100 for a doll the size of our hands (even though it also comes with four brooches). If you would, though, you should visit michellerheaume's Etsy shop here. You might as well throw a couple of bills our way, too, if you have that kind of money. We won't knit you anything, but we can send you some trash from the street and name it "Mario," if that would help.[Via Tokyo Mango]

  • This piranha plant won't bite you

We usually don't feel warm and fuzzy when thinking about piranha plants, but we suppose it can't be helped when one actually is warm and fuzzy. Still, years of training (read: playing Mario games) have conditioned us to keep our fingers away from these beasts, even if they look harmless. This precious pincushion was made by a Toronto artist named FoulFowl, and was wet and needle felted. Since we're domestically challenged, we're not exactly sure what that entails, but it sounds impressive -- at least, we hope so, since the craft is set at $25.[Via Technabob]

Norwegian craftster Silje sewed together this charming pouch to protect her Pink DS Lite and separate her games from the clutter in her purse. It's amazing what can be done with just buttons, ribbons, a cute print, and a sewing machine! Silje picked up the owl fabric from an Etsy shop with dozens of similarly playful patterns, if you're interested in tackling a case project of your own.The back of the pouch has three cart slots that secure their contents with a button and ribbon system similar to the enclosure on the front. You can see a close-up of those pockets and another shot of the case after the break!

  • Nintendo collages for Nintendoholics

If your love for Nintendo is so great that you not only need Nintendo things hanging about, but Nintendo things made from Nintendo things, you'll probably enjoy these collages.Artist Chris Lange (Etsy user sscjl14) is offering to create customizable collages of Nintendo characters, made completely out of Nintendo Power magazines. The results are pretty neat, no doubt, but you probably have to really bleed Nintendo love to shell out $250 for one of these 20 X 30 inch pieces of art. Still, we love the concept, and can't help but gawk at this kind of stuff even if we'll never buy it. Check after the break if you're interested in seeing two more of his creations.

  • Mana Princess shows off a Gift Pack for Black Friday

Our favorite WoW crafter, Mana Princess, sends word that she's updated her store for the holidays-- not only has she added some Alliance and Horde ornaments (just in time for tree setup), but she also told us about her Black Friday sale, in which she's selling a gift pack of everything you see above for just $35. It's the perfect gift for the WoW player in your life (even if that's you). And because it's in honor of Black Friday (and also her birthday), when those items are gone at that price, she says they're gone. Now, lest you think we're guilty of favoritism here, while we do like MP a lot, we do realize she's not the only WoW crafter on the block. If you've got some crafts you want to show off (whether you're selling them or not, feel free to drop us a line over on our comment form, and give us a heads up on what you're up to. We love everything WoW, and while Mana Princess makes some great stuff, we're sure she's not the only game in town.

DS and Wii owners seem split on the subject of skins, but one thing seems universal -- if you're gonna do it, you want to be able to remove it later. Etsy seller NoveltyGallery offers just that feature in this array of Wii skins. What's more? These skins are customizable. Prefer DS skins, or maybe something for your phone? No problem. Just contact the seller with your choice.

  • Guitar Princess

If you've got a fetish for franchise mash-ups, of even if you've just always wanted to see what a mess a guitar would look like outfitted with the N64's buttons, stick, and directional pad, then here you are. Michael J. Patrick has this image of Princess Peach rockin' out as an 8x10 print available for sale on his Etsy shop for twelve bucks. It doesn't seem like there's much of a market out there for Princess Peach fanart or mock-ups of guitars with controls from a two-generations-old system, but who knows? What song do you think she could be playing that would leave her looking so forlorn? Our guess is that it's Nirvana's "Something in the Way." Maybe she's been going through a lot of stuff lately, you know? Whatever's keeping you down, Peach, we hope it doesn't drive you to one day blow your brains out with a shotgun. Some think, "It's better to burn out than to fade away," but you've got so much ahead of you!

Continuing the "things that look like Wiimotes but aren't" theme: Remember reading? Not on a screen, but in, like, these stacks of paper that are all stuck together on one side? I think they're called ... strategy guides?* Yeah, this Perler bead bookmark is for those. We like how the natural properties of the Perler-bead-made Wiimote (the long, rectangular shape and the flatness, basically) lend themselves to use as a bookmark. The crafter probably made this without any intended purpose and realized only later how perfect it would be to mark pages. If only the yarn were on the other end and grey, the illusion would be complete.*Full disclosure: as a librarian, this blogger is required to know what a book is.[Via Wonderland]

  • Nerd in a tux? Try Game Boy cufflinks

Unfortunately prom season is over, though we suspect anyone who'd be interested in wearing these Game Boy Color Pocket cuff-links probably spent prom night at home with Princess Peach and pals. Seriously, what kind of nerd would wear red Game Boy Pocket cuff-links? We'd only be caught wearing original gray Game Boy cuff-links on our powder blue rental tux! Alright, original gray or maybe the GBA ... DS Lite cuff-links would be sweet ... we'd also wear PSP cuff-links ... and Pac-Man themed ones ... Pac-Man or Galaga ... [Via Engadget](Update: The myriad Game Boy models have proven too much for me to remember. These are indeed Game Boy Pocket cuff-links. Thanks Smith and deft!)
