In celebration of the 1-year anniversary of DSiWare's North American launch, Nintendo has pieced together this video, featuring highlights of the still fairly sparse lineup for the service. The majority of the video, however, is devoted to games that haven't been released yet, including X-Scape, Photo Dojo and Metal Torrent. Many of these games were shown at the recent Nintendo Media Summit, which we assumed would be the first and last time we'd see them before release. We're quite taken aback by today's surprising promotion of upcoming DSiWare games!

It's a very exciting day for Nintendo downloads, thanks to one very thrilling two-wheeler. But Excitebike World Rally is far from the only offering this week. In fact, there are multiple games available for WiiWare, Virtual Console, and DSiWare, which seems like a rare feat for Nintendo of America. Head past the break to see if any of the other new games excite you.

Click to see even larger rats. Konami shocked us by announcing a complete reboot of Frogger, reimagined by American McGee as a dark, twisted platformer about a frog on a quest for revenge. Wait, they didn't do that. Instead, they announced Frogger Returns, a by-the-numbers follow-up to the arcade classic that has you taking the titular mascot from one side of the screen to the other. This modern take on the franchise adds a few power-ups (like the ability to reverse and stop time) and invincibility. Whoa, who knew frogs could do all that? Frogger Returns promises to be "12 times the size of the original" and will also offer "local multiplayer," according to the official press release. No details on price were revealed, but Konami's aiming for a release on both WiiWare and PlayStation Network later this fall. %Gallery-76629%
