    * Sort of. First, we were told Joystiq was listed in Gaming Steve's top 10 video game humor sites. "Awesome," we said and clicked on the site. Then we found out it was just for the Weekly Webcomic Wrapup. "It's not that funny at all," said Ludwig, pointing to his popular Japanese hardware sales feature (now back on vacation). Then we did the unthinkable and read beyond the headline. Our kudos? For compiling other people's humor into a list.Whatever, it's an honor. And with that in mind, here are our picks for the week's best game-related webcomic: No more potty training (MNC)** A quick route up the ladder (RPG-TV) Serious business (Gamer PALs) We are only trying to help (Penny Arcade) Wrong man for the job (2P Start) Represent (Digital Unrest) Gold farmer alert (Extra Life) The Minus World (Dueling Analogs) Voting after the break. Enjoy!** Note: We should've used the title "The Legend Never Dies" but the head tag was wrong. Still, the linked comic, the game-related one, is what we're offering for vote.

Gaming Steve brings us the long-awaited information that cross-realm battlegrounds, of a form, will be coming to Azeroth. By patch 1.12 or 1.13 "at the latest", battlegrounds will span sixteen realms, allowing for shorter queues and new opponents. There are also some more exciting BG changes planned for the future, turning WoW PvP into a truly competitive sport with tournaments, ladders and worldwide rankings to take part in. It looks like we'll have to wait for the Burning Crusade to see most of the changes, but bringing cross-realm combat in sooner rather than later is something I'm definitely looking forward to.[Via Joystiq]

Joystiq's very own Christopher Grant is not only posting from the 2006 Game Developers Conference, he's also starring in a podcast.Okay, so technically he's just co-hosting an episode of an ongoing podcast with Gaming Steve, but you can't miss this opportunity to hear Chris's laid-back, sweetly smooth voice. (There are reports that Chris also sounds somewhat like a stoner, but we wouldn't be able to tell you what those kind of people sound like anyway, so what can we say?)As for the podcast itself, Chris and Steve go into the events of the last day, enthusiastically sharing about Microsoft's bloggers breakfast with Peter Moore (inset), Phil Harrison's PS3 keynote, what the new Battlestar Galactica might have to do with games, and everything else that they saw in San Jose. And, hey, maybe if we're lucky, we'll get another guest Joystiqer co-hosting with Steve today. More from GDC as we get it...See also: Direct download link for the podcast in question [55 minute-long MP3] Gaming Steve's "Day 3" report on GDC 2006 [where we got the pic] Joystiq @ GDC: In the beginning... • The bestselling games of all time

Gaming Steve's asking the question "What is the bestselling video game of all time?", and better still, he's found some answers. Super Mario Bros. takes the Guinness Book of World Records' accolade, helped in no small part by its bundling with the NES.With innovative title The Sims taking the PC top spot and Pac-Man walking off with the coin-op crown, it's unsurprising to see that all three games have given rise to spinoffs, sequels and copycats galore. However, while Mario's still running riot, you don't see much of Pac-Man nowadays. The lesson to publishers? Bundling games, repurposing content and milking franchises may see you clear to the top spot, but you'll have to work jolly hard to outsell Mario.
