"The best-laid plans of Rabbids and men gang aft agley."Ubisoft's rascally rabbit mascots are at it again, hoping to disguise themselves and sneak into Germany's Leipzig Games Convention. Last year's attempt to infiltrate the event was a failure of monumental proportions; will this year's caper pay off? No matter the outcome, we're looking forward to receiving a lot more of these offbeat ads before Rayman Raving Rabbids 2's November 15 release. [Via NeoGAF]

Stormfront Studios' Don Daglow doesn't see the Wii as two GameCubes duct-taped together. Rather, Don is of the mind that the experience dictates how evolved it is perceived by the player. Sure, it lacks the sheer processing power its competitors do, but its ability to provide us with truly unique experiences trumps that. "Next-gen hardware is any platform that, upon its introduction, dramatically changes players' view of the potential for interactive entertainment," he adds."If it changes the player's view of what interactive entertainment is; if you think differently about it; if you have a new perspective after playing the game that you didn't have before, to me that's next-gen."But isn't it all about evolution of the game itself, not just its hyper photo-realistic graphics, when it comes to the next-gen debate? That's why we thought Daglow's remarks during his GCDC speech this afternoon were so in line with our beliefs.

A new website has been launched for the Leipzig GC Developers Conference For those outside Europe, GCDC is more or less the biggest game convention in Europe. Lots of great news comes out of Leipzig every year, including plenty of 360 news. The convention will be held this year from August 20 - 22. The website has been launched to coincide with the event. It is the organizers belief that GCDC.eu reinforces the "European alignment" of the conference. Also unveiled is the slogan "Upgrade the Future." Speakers for GCDC have not yet been announced, though last year's conference included plenty of heavy hitters including Peter Molyneux. Considering he's on GCDC's front page, we assume he'll make another appearance. Maybe he can take some time to explain this.[Via XboxAddict]
