Perfect World International boasts 2M active accounts, gives gift pack for anniversary
Perfect World International turns six years old this month, and even if you haven't given it a second thought, apparently the fantasy MMO is quite popular worldwide. PWE released an infographic that stated, among other tidbits, that the game currently enjoys over two million active accounts. Other interesting statistics from the infographic include a population of 51% female players and 39,787 in-game marriages performed. EVE Online celebrates nine years of internet spaceships
Break out the cake and presents because EVE Online is turning nine years old on May 6th! That's right, the internet's premier spaceship/spreadsheet simulator is almost a decade old, and CCP Games is doing it up big-time with this year's anniversary gift packages. Beginning on May 4th, players will have the opportunity to choose one of eight fabulous prize packages that include goodies such as ships, skill books, implants, mining crystals, and more. Uncharted Water Online bribes greenhorn sailors with gifts
Netmarble really, really wants you to play Uncharted Waters Online -- and it's not ashamed of a little bribery to make that happen. To tempt players into giving this nautical MMO a try, Netmarble is giving every new sailor a gift pack for the next month. The pack includes basic supplies, a skill handbook, an "anti-natural disaster item," and, er, LifeSavers. Probably not the candy, though. In addition to the novice pack, players can earn up to three additional gift packs by leveling up. If a player hits level 20 in all three main skills, he or she will even be gifted a fine new sea vessel of his or her very own. The giveaway goes through March 21st, so if you've been eying Uncharted Waters Online, you might want to make your move sooner rather than later to get in on this deal. Play Golden Age in style with a gift pack from Massively!
We've heard very little this year about Golden Age, the upcoming MMORTS from Aeria Games. Apparently that's because the folks at Aeria were busy working hard to prepare the game for beta testing, because closed beta is here! What's that you say? You're not in the closed beta? Well, fear not, because this is the most open closed beta ever. Aeria Games tells us that the closed beta is "open to everyone at this point," and we've got something to make your experience even more fun: goodie bags! Simply create a Golden Age beta account, log into the game, and click the "mall" button at the bottom of your screen. Select the "redeem code" option, enter your key, and your items will arrive in your in-game mailbox. What are the items?
