Sony has given us a peak at what we're getting tomorrow during the weekly refresh of the PlayStation Store, and it clucks. Chickens that is; we're getting Piyotama, the adorable egg based puzzle game that was released in Japan a couple months back. The game has an interesting and attractive art style, but early impressions of the Japanese version were pretty lackluster. Similar to GoPuzzle, it seems like another generic attempt at a standard puzzler. No price has been announced yet, though going by historical trends you can assume about a $7 cost. Also no word on if there is a free trial version or not, but we should find that all out tomorrow when we hear about the full content refresh.

Jem, and the rest of our European friends, have been able to play Go! Puzzle for the past two weeks. Now, America gets to join in on the puzzling fun. This collection of puzzle games may not demonstrate the power of the PS3, but at least it's playable, unlike last week's disappointing Store update. The collection includes three games, Swizzle Blocks, Aquatica, and Skyscraper. The "Starter Pack" is free and allows players to try three minute demos of each of these games. Full versions of each the games cost $2.99 each, or $5.99 for the entire collection. Finally, the weekly Store update wouldn't be complete without some videos. Here's this week's selection: Hot Rod trailer %Gallery-3964%

Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles. We love puzzles. Hmmm, that would make a good name for a website. If it hadn't already been done. Puzzles are big in Europe, because we're all so smart. It's true. Sony knows this and is attempting to aid us on our quest to find more and more fun and interesting brain exercises (our 'Puzzle Quest', perhaps? -- Oh, that's been done before too ... ) by releasing Go! Puzzle on the European PlayStation Store today. Check the list below to see a full list of goodies that are available. Go! Puzzle - Starter Pack (free) Go! Puzzle - All Levels (£3.99) Go! Puzzle - Swizzle Blocks (£1.99) Go! Puzzle - Skyscraper (£1.99) Go! Puzzle - Aquatica (£1.99) PlayStation Network Showcase video (free) Burnout Paradise trailer (free) Puzzletastic, right? Nice of Sony to separate the different styles of game out like that, incase we want to mix and match our own perfect puzzle experience. We were hoping for Calling All Cars, but this isn't nearly as bad as last week's pitiful offerings. The PSN Showcase video is quite a fun watch. It's full of games that we won't be seeing for at least a couple of months. But as PlayStation 3 owners, we're used to that.[UPDATE] Prices for Go! Puzzle packs have been corrected. Thanks Dave.

The PS3's launch day in Europe is set to be filled with wanton punching, devastating explosions and utterly callous driving -- and when new PS3 owners finally get home, they can experience even more of that. Sony has announced a trio of downloads that will greet European PlayStation Network users on March 23, namely Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (costing £6.99), Blast Factor (£3.49) and the Gran Turismo HD trial (£0). Other games slated for the online network are: 30 March: Super Rub-A-Dub, a touching study of the social intricacies found in a group of inanimate ducks! 6 April: flOw, a relaxing aquatic adventure with many a mingling microorganism! 13 April: Go! Sudoku, a game stunningly devoid of ritualistic suicide! 20 April: Go! Puzzle, a gripping crime thriller following a fugitive jigsaw piece! If all that isn't worth registering on PSN, perhaps James Bond will talk some sense into you. He has a gun, you know.
