iPulse 2.1.9 now available
Earlier this week, The Iconfactory released iPulse version 2.1.9 (we've written about iPulse before). For the uninitiated, iPulse is a great system-monitoring utility which tracks information like CPU usage, motherboard temperature, available disk space and a whole lot more. As you would expect from Iconfactory software, its appearance is customizable by applying any of a great number of skins, or "jackets," from the jacket gallery. Changes to v. 2.1.9 include Support for reading temperature on all Intel Macs A new Dock menu A global preference to hide the dock icon There's more, of course; you can get the full run-down here.iPulse requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, and can be downloaded from the Iconfactory website. A single license costs $12.95 USD. Version 2.1.9 is a free upgrade for registered users.
iPulse Bear speakers, dock and lightshow for iPod
It's tough to distinguish yourself in this ever-growing iPod accessory market, but I guess turning an innocent little teddy bear into an iPod dock, speaker system and colorful light show is one way to go about it. "Teddy" the iBear hugs your music player to his belly in a pouch; a hidden cable connects to the headphone jack of any iPod or any other audio device with a headphone jack. The Iconfactory releases new iPulse jackets
What fun are your utilities if you can't dress them up, right? The Iconfactory has released four new skins (or "jackets") for iPulse, their system monitoring tool (I personally like Scarab). With iPulse, you can monitor disk usage, CPU usage, system load, motherboard temperature and a lot more. Plus, it just looks cool.iPulse requires Mac OS 10.3 or better, is universal and costs $12.95US for a single license.
