If you read Erica Sadun's post yesterday about Iugo Mobile Entertainment's new games for the iPad platform or watched the video, you know that the development firm has been changing the paradigm of mobile gaming by creating games that can be played by two people at once on the iPad. Cliffed XL (US$1.99) is a 2D scrolling racer, the free Escape - Norm's World XL is a hard-to-master puzzle game, Implode! XL ($2.99) is a wild casual game in which you demolish old buildings with dynamite, and Zombie Attack! Second Wave XL ($3.99) is a tower defense tame with oodles of zombies. All of the games also work on iPhone and iPod touch, so you don't need to be an iPad owner to enjoy them. Thanks to Iugo Mobile Entertainment, we're giving away a set of games -- Cliffed XL, Implode! XL, and Zombie Attack! Second Wave XL -- to 9 lucky TUAW readers. If you're a winner, you'll get promo codes for all three games from TUAW and Iugo. To enter, just leave a comment below with the name of your favorite of these three Iugo titles. Here are the details: Open to legal US residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older. To enter, leave a comment with the name of your favorite Iugo Mobile Entertainment title: Cliffed XL, Implode! XL, or Zombie Attack! Second Wave XL. The video you see here was in my inbox this morning and I really liked what what I saw. IUGO, a long time player in the mobile entertainment arena, is in the process of releasing four new games for the iPad platform. What made these games stand out for me was how well they leveraged the iPad hardware realities for both cooperative and competitive game play. Several of these games highlight multi-handed multi-player interaction on the same device. That's a feature that's specific to the iPad. The iPhone's size doesn't allow that kind of two player interaction, except through online game play with virtual opponents. What IUGO's games are doing is expanding play from an iPhone-style one user at a time paradigm into a two-users-at-once iPad experience. Read on for an exclusive discussion with IUGO Mobile Entertainment.
