Even after Konami UK debunked the Metal Gear Solid 5 info supposedly leaked out of Comic-Con, there were still weird lingering questions. Those questions have now been decisively answered by someone who would know his own logo: Hideo Kojima."Since I've received inquiries about the MGS5 title screen/the announcement made at ComicCon which I had no idea of, I looked up on the net and found the source," Kojima tweeted. "But please note that title logo is completely FAKE. I apologize to those who were looking forward. Anyway it proved I can still create the buzz," concluded the designer, who has never had any problems creating "buzz." Kojipro senior producer Kenichiro Imaizumi also denied the veracity of the images, saying, "I've been asked about the screen shots of MGS5 on the game sites. These're ALL FAKE."Just because that logo's a fake, of course, doesn't mean the game isn't real: Kojima has already been talking about the features of the sort-of-announced sequel, and has been hiring for the "'next' MGS."

Kojima Productions is looking to do some Kojima Producing in the US, according to senior producer Kenichiro Imaizumi. Discussing a new brand manager position on Twitter, Imaizumi said "Yes, we plan to open a studio in CA. IF we can find the right people."In what we hope is a coincidence, this comes right after our newly California-located editor-in-chief delivered his tongue-in-cheek pitch for a new Metal Gear game, while passing along news of Kojipro's impending development efforts. You can't have him, Imaizumi! If you're Japanese-English bilingual and California-local, however, and you're not my boss, you can swing by booth 1914 at the career pavilion at GDC to get in on this opportunity.

If there was any doubt left in your mind that Japanese developers are on board for using Project Natal, we've got seven fancy, high-powered Japanese developers ready to convince you of their dedication in video form -- in case you didn't know, all the cool kids are doing it. Above, we've dropped Capcom's Keiji Inafune. He sees Natal as an "enhancement" rather than a replacement, saying the current controllers prevent game developers from creating "games without limits." This of course begs the question: What happens when you combine Garry's Mod and Project Natal? Our guess: Madness.Peep developers from Tecmo, Namco, Kojima Productions, Konami, From Software and Sega extolling Natal's many virtues after the break.

In one of a series of videos released by Microsoft of developers offering their thoughts on Project Natal, Kenichiro Imaizmu, producer of the Metal Gear Solid series at Kojima Productions, revealed that Hideo Kojima had been leading the design of a custom controller for use with Metal Gear Solid 4. As Imaizumi described, the ideas were figuratively -- and literally -- shocking. "We tried running electric shock waves, install a pulse reader ... we also tried to build a controller that's receptive to the strength of the [player's] grip," he divulged. "We tried a lot, even a transforming controller." While it's too bad the truly shocking DualShock will never see the light of day, at least we may now know where Nintendo got the idea for its pulse reader: Kojima's dumpster ...Back to the video, Imaizumi also extolled the virtues of Project Natal, mentioning its ability for gesture, voice and color-based interaction. But, as far as we know, Natal doesn't have the ability to zap players with electric shocks. That's just never gonna happen. (Uh-oh ... did we just say -- yep. Never say never again.)
