Remember Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble? If you're not familiar with the game, it's the one where you can dress up in a banana suit and fight gang members by shooting lasers from your eyes. That one. Seriously. And Japan's getting a movie adaptation of it on March 6th this year. You can catch a predictably insane trailer after the break.

How tough are the badasses of Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble? So tough that they can look intimidating in banana costumes, as demonstrated in these new screenshots. Not convinced? These dudes are so hardcore that the game's release date was moved up to face off with Modern Warfare 2. You have to be pretty ice cold to stand against that as a niche PSP game. We respect that.Atlus sent an email detailing the game's inventory system, which is pretty simple: every item of clothing includes a certain number of pockets, up to a total of eight per complete outfit. Which means you have to be super tough to take on rival gangs in just your undies, because not only would that be really embarrassing to anyone but the most confident of fighters, you can't carry healing items.%Gallery-75587%

Atlus has announced plans to publish Kenka Bancho 3, Spike's PSP brawler about Japanese high school gangs. Since this will be the first Western release for the over-the-top fighting series, it doesn't have an English name yet. And "Kenka Bancho" is slightly difficult to translate in a snappy manner: it basically means "tough guy who leads a rumble."Kenka Bancho 3 stars a Japanese high school student who leads his gang into a bunch of fights on a school trip, and features open-world and RPG elements, a character creator, and two-player cooperative play.Along with the announcement of the new game, Atlus sent out a survey to its "Atlus Faithful" asking for help picking a new title. The names include stuff like Badass Rumble, Fist of the Bancho, and other possibilities that make us think that it should just be called Kenka Bancho. It's better in our opinions to have an incomprehensible Japanese title than to know that the game is called Turf Wars.

Download to PSPThe third installment popular Japanese high-school gangster series Kenka Banchou is headed for the PSP. In Kenka Banchou 3: Zenkoku Seiha, the player will have the ability to fight rival gangs, participate on training trips, as well as meet some beautiful ladies. The game will retain many of the trademark mechanics of its PS2 predecessors, such as branching storylines and a peculiar battle system that involves picking lines of dialog to determine who will attack first. New additions to franchise include online play via ad-hoc mode and the ability to change the protagonist's name and place of birth. The game will arrive in Japan on November 27th. Since the first two games were never made it to our shores, this appears to be an unlikely candidate for localization.
