Here's a protip for you, guy or gal who's putting together the Lips DLC offerings. Let's say you look at your list for that Wednesday, and let's say you see something like this: Olivia Newton John – "Magic" (160/$2) Avril Lavigne – "My Happy Ending" (160/$2) The Pussycat Dolls featuring Snoop Dogg – "Buttons" (160/$2) If you look at your list and you realize that the one who starred in Xanadu is the one classing things up, maybe it's time to take a long, hard look in the mirror and figure out where things went wrong.

This weekend's Grammy Awards will send us looking for something -- anything -- else to watch on television. Even so, Microsoft has offered up its latest batch of downloadable tunes for Lips so living room crooners can celebrate the occasion. Arriving tomorrow, February 6, the lineup includes three previous Grammy winners, including "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys, Coldplay's "In My Place" and "Building a Mystery" from Sarah McLachlan. Microsoft also points out that a pair of already available tracks, namely Coldplay's "Violet Hill" and Adele's "Chasing Pavements," are up for awards during the event, though all things considered we'll probably spend the evening watching reruns of MacGyver instead.

The Gamerscore Blog has posted the Lips premium DLC lineup for the remainder of January. The prices for the tracks vary arbitrarily between a straight $2 and the upwards-creeping $2.25. It's still a little weird that, for the same price, we could get gameplay elements for another three instruments with Rock Band DLC, but who are we to judge? Available January 16 When I Grow Up – The Pussycat Dolls (160 / $2) You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' – The Righteous Brothers (180 / $2.25) Erase/Rewind – The Cardigans (160 / $2) Available January 23 Hate That I Love You – Rihanna feat. What gift do we want most this year? The ability to get the Lips ... "lips" out of our minds forever. That likely being impossible due to their (its?) extremely disturbing nature, we'll settle for some holiday ballads as DLC for the game. Oh, look, Microsoft has some, as promised! Here's what's going to be available, this week and next – complete with original, holiday-themed videos – "starting at" 160 ($2). We note a disturbing lack of Adam Sandler's "Hanukkah Song."Friday, Dec. 5 Blue Christmas – Elvis Presley The Dreidel Song – Sister Hazel It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Andy Williams Friday, Dec.12 Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer – Gene Autry Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee A Holly Jolly Christmas – Burl Ives The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You) – Nat King Cole Santa Baby – Kylie Minogue White Christmas – Bing Crosby Hanukkah Blessings – Barenaked Ladies
