  • Magic Ball bounces into stuff on PSN today

Get ready to bust some balls stuff with balls when Magic Ball releases on PSN January 15th (also known as "today") for $10. The Arkanoid-style wall buster features "two visual themes" -- Pirates and Knights (we speculate a Ninja DLC pack can't be too far behind) -- with really beautiful, "completely destructible" 3D environments. Each of the levels also has "its own mini-story scenes."Magic Ball features "a vast number" of Trophies and in-game multiplayer chat. According to the game's producer, the title apparently received a difficulty upgrade during testing to avoid it feeling too casual. Magic Ball should be available in North America when the PSN updates later today (it's available right now in Europe). Gallery: Magic Ball

Today's update isn't bad. Certainly not as bad as last week's, but there's something missing. Maybe it's the lack of LittleBigPlanet DLC (which is promised to start again next week), or maybe it's the lack of Street Fighter II HD, Penny Arcade and Lumines. What we do have are two demos, plenty of DLC and Creat Studio's fourth title, Magic Ball. It also appears that Europe is finally able to download all the High Velocity Bowling DLC that America has been hoarding for months now. Here's the full list:Playable Content Magic Ball full game (£7.99) Dead Space demo Skate 2 demo Add-on Content WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 roster update (£3.19) 3x Shaun White Snowboarding add-on packs (2x £3.99, 1x free) Brain Challenge expansion pack (£2.39) Rock Band DLC (listed after the break) Guitar Hero World Tour DLC (listed after the break) High Velocity Bowling DLC (listed after the break)

A long time ago (think about a year ago), independent developer Creat Studios announced it was working on a number of PlayStation Network games. We haven't heard much from then since, but it looks like they're working on at least three different PSN games. German USK rating board added three new games, all from Creat: Cuboid Magic Ball Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom Yeah, we're not jumping out of our seats on the prospects of a new Mahjong game. Regardless, it's nice to see the PSN continue to diversify its library.[Via GamerBytes]
