Sony launching new Move bundle, PS3 with 'Everybody Dance'
Next week, Sony will introduce two new bundles featuring the PlayStation Move to entice the family crowd. The first is a Move peripheral bundle, which includes the wand, PlayStation Eye, Sports Champions and Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest for $99.99. The second offering is a PlayStation 3 Everybody Dance bundle. The box includes a 320 gigglebyte console, Move controller, PS Eye and Everybody Dance. The box also features the stock image of the ever-present Peter Pan hoodie dancer man. He haunts our dreams.
Medieval Moves preview: Sporty skeleton
One of my biggest surprises during PAX Prime 2011 was a game I almost decided not to play. Time is limited at these events, so when I was presented with a swath of choices at Sony's corner of the show at the nearby Grand Hyatt, I had to be shrewd. Starhawk? Sure! Journey! You bet. Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest? Ehh ... Boy, am I glad I took a chance on this one, because slashing, guarding and shooting as the diminutive skeleton was some of the most fun I had all weekend. %Gallery-132011%
Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest's unexpected history
This is totally blowing our minds. So Sony has an existing franchise called MediEvil, that is totally about a skeleton guy with swords and stuff. But the new PlayStation Move game it announced for PS3, Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest, which has the word "medieval" in the title and is totally about skeleton people, isn't a MediEvil spinoff. It's a Sports Champions spinoff. Emperor Morgrimm, the antagonist in this game, was a secret unlockable character in the Move minigame collection. The common thread is developer Zindagi Games, who is responsible for both games.
Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest revealed for PlayStation Move
Well, this is ... odd. Sony just announced a new Move-centric action game from the developers of Sports Champions: Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest. It's an action game, featuring a skeleton lead character, and it's got "Medieval" in the name. But it's not, as the coolest among you may be suspecting, a continuation of the MediEvil franchise. Baffling. It looks neat though, and with a release window of fall 2011, that's a lucky thing.
