This week, Rock Band downloadable content is going SXSW with the release of three master recordings from three groups all for three special prices. So, for a limited time (of which we aren't sure how limited), you can grab Paramore's "Crushcrushcrush", Serj Tankian's "Beethoven's C***" or Black Tide's "Shock Wave" for the gotta have 'em good price of 80 Microsoft points. Like we said, we aren't sure how long these tracks will be available for 80 points or whether you'll even value them at such a price point, but we'd recommend a purchase within' the next week or so just to be safe. And as always, we've listed all the Rock Band DLC goodness in handy-dandy list form after the break.[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a drunken Spring break celebration than by rocking out to a few Rock Band sessions with some friends in Panama City, Florida. And wouldn't you know, we aren't alone. From March 1st through the 22nd, the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Panama City along with MTV have setup a Rock Band stage on the beach and in the hotel's Club LaVela's Rock Room inviting Spring break visitors to rock out. Anyone willing enough can take the stage, jam to their favorite tunes and earn Xbox 360 gear as well as hundreds of loyal fans. That is, if you can rock. Also, from March 8th through the 14th, mtvU will be setting up an Xbox 360 gaming lounge at the Boardwalk Beach Resort for Spring breakers to play Rock Band or challenge their friends to a few games of Halo 3. Musical group Bang Camaro will also be holding a concert at the hotel on March 14th. We think it's safe to say that Rock Band is the hardcore partyer's video game of choice. Now drink up and pass the Stratocaster!

It's a new music DLC Tuesday and this week Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore joins Rock Band in the new downloadable content funnery. Joy! As we mentioned last Friday, the Grateful Dead finally makes its Rock Band debut with a six track blowout allowing DLC purchasers to buy each of the six master tracks individually for 160 Microsoft points or as a pack for 800 points. Then we have the somewhat forgotten KR:AIE who is offering a massive twenty-one song DLC blowout today with various tracks ranging from Michael Jackson's "Beat It" to the B-52s' "Love Shack" all for 120 points apiece. Not too bad. We listed and conveniently broke down the new musical DLC for both Rock Band and KR:AIE after the break. Rock it fellow Deadheads!

Here's a guaranteed plan to get rich. First, create a video game company, focus your development efforts towards pioneering the music genre, then get bought out by a larger company and make a hugely successful game. Then, when said hugely successful game gets recognized by the corporate big guys, cash out on your performance bonus package that was outlined in your buyout terms. The result: $208.7 million in bonus cash. And that's exactly what Harmonix got paid by Viacom (MTV Games' parent company) as part of their performance bonus all because Rock Band is super successful. It almost makes us inspired enough to want to follow Harmonix's footsteps but instead pioneer the grocery shopping genre. That would be equally successful, right?
