Do you remember Mytran Wars for the PSP? If you don't, we don't blame you. The PSP-exclusive strategy game had been often-delayed, from 2008 to early 2009. When it didn't make retail release, we assumed it was dead -- but a recent NYC hands-on proved us wrong.Publisher Deep Silver is planning on bringing Mytran Wars on PSP via UMD next month. When grilled about a downloadable release, the publisher couldn't confirm any plans to release the game on PlayStation Network. Our brief hands-on with the game revealed truly impressive production values, with fully-voiced comic book-styled cutscenes that really bring the world to life. The gameplay should be familiar to anyone that's played Advance Wars: it's classic turn-based strategy with fog of war. Unfortunately, the game moved very slowly, with animations taking much too time. Hopefully, the sluggish pace won't prove to be a game-breaker, when it finally launches on PSP next month.%Gallery-30245%

Deep Silver's long-delayed turn-based strategy effort for PSP is finally coming ... we think. The company released the intro to the upcoming game, and the live action sequence reminds us a lot of the classic Command & Conquer cinematics. This three minute clip emphasizes the importance of resources in the game and sets up the conflict with -- you guessed it -- giant robots.%Gallery-30245%

Perhaps they should reconsider that title ...Mytran Wars is a PSP-exclusive cel-shaded strategy game from Budapest-based developer Stormregion. It's classic strategy fare set in the 23rd century, with humans and aliens at war over resources. It actually looks very good, and should (shock!) actually make it's way to the US. %Gallery-30245%

About a week ago, we brought word of a new turn-based strategy game called Mytran Wars. Back then, we didn't know what the game looked like and our speculations regarding the look and feel of the game could've reached the stars. However, there is absolutely no need to stargaze and wonder any longer because we've got some fresh screenshots right here. It looks like the game will utilize a bit of 3D cel-shading. You can see the rest of the screens in our gallery.%Gallery-30245%

Listen up folks, another new game has been announced. This time it's a turn-based strategy game called Mytran Wars. It's exclusive to the PSP and is a creation of Budapest-based devs, Stormregion. These guys are the makers of PC games such as: Rush for Berlin, S.W.I.N.E., and Codename: Panzers. They really love their war games, huh?Mytran Wars is a stark contrast from Stormregion's other works, primarily because the setting is in space and not their usual choice of WWII or the Cold War era. As for the actual story, the long-short of it goes: It's the 23rd century, and humans and aliens are at war over resources. The game will feature a multiplayer mode. No other details were mentioned after that. So a price and date will remain in the far reaches of space for now.[Via press release]
