Suggestion No. 1: Give 'em away! Just kidding – our fine friends at PSP Fanboy, undeterred by yesterday's less-than-glowing appraisal of their favorite system's future, have outlined five (clever) ways that Sony could improve the system. And we're not just talking gimmicky peripherals that will never see the light of day in the US.So check out their ideas, drop them some of your own in comments, and tell 'em Joystiq sent you. (If they say "Never heard of 'em," it's probably because we still have their UMD copy of MVP: Most Valuable Primate.)

This week's big game on PS3 Fanboy? A little gem called EyePet, which actually generated four times more traffic than Heavy Rain. We don't think anyone here (or at SCEE) could've predicted the incredible response for this cuddly critter. On the PSP, everyone focused on the newly announced PSP Brite, but we're itching to learn more about the other big announcement: Everyday Shooter -- on the go?! PS3 Fanboy hands-on: Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli "The gameplay was solid, felt authentic, and the difficulty was geared for the hardcore racer." PS3 Fanboy hands-on: Legendary "One of the things that sticks out about Legendary the most is the design and strategy you'll need to utilize in defeating different types of enemies." PS3 Fanboy hands-on: WipEout HD "Don't think of this as a stopgap until a "real" WipEout game -- this really is the real deal." Reviews PSP Fanboy review: Space Invaders Extreme "You might find this silly but you can listen, play, and dance to the game all at the same time and it would feel completely natural." This week has actually been pretty crazy -- possibly even crazier than The Last Guy developers seen in the above clip. With E3 coming around, we're both really excited and close to losing our marbles in preparation for the big E this year. We have already made our E3 predictions and have sorted out our meet up plans. Check, check, check. All that's left to do now is go to the show and bring home all the goods to you fine folk! So until then, sit back, relax, and read PS Fanboy's Week in Review to get you up to date on all things Sony. Reviews PSP Fanboy review: Secret Agent Clank "After an excellent first outing on PSP, High Impact Games has created a follow-up to Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters that's worse in almost every single aspect." Previews PS3 Fanboy hands-on: Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm "Ultimate Ninja Storm, more than any anime game before it, looks just as good, if not better, than its source material. Not only is the level of detail stunning, the fluidity of the animations and the strong use of motion blur give it a truly cinematic look." Columns Give me a reason to fight! "Since when do competitive games need a narrative? Tic-tac-toe never had a narrative. Neither did chess, the most pervasive simulation of military strategy in the Western world." This week's big top story was all about Firmware 2.40: its release, initial hiccups, and then getting pulled down. A few people had some significant problems, but the majority saw their shiny new features were running smoothly. For those of you who were able to get this update onto your system, we suggest you start in-game XMBing and grabbing those trophies. For starters, hit up Super Stardust HD and read our guide on how to get those PS3 accolades. Features Everything you need to know about firmware 2.40 "The features to be added in firmware 2.40 represent the biggest jump for PS3 owners, more so than 2.00 released a few months earlier. The key features of the update include the most-wanted things voiced by a majority of PS3 fans." Trophy Guide: Super Stardust HD "With 9 Bronze, 6 Silver and 2 Gold Trophies, we're sure this is going to keep many occupied for quite some time. Here's our guide to unlock all the Trophies. Good luck!" Screens inFAMOUS (PS3 Fanboy Exclusive) Madden NFL 09 (PS3) Midnight Club: Los Angeles (PS3) Yggdra Union (PSP)

Ah, this is the image that launched a thousand murmurs across the sea of internets. We were tipped off early in the week from (possibly) eager developers willingly gushing about Sony's trophy system. At the moment, this image and others like it should still be taken with skepticism. We suppose it can't (read: definitely won't) be too long before we see something official. In the meantime, read up on what else we Sony Fanboys have been writing about this past week. Our top headlines are after the break. Columns Echochrome - the new Brain Age? "What Echochrome does, quite brilliantly, is tweak our perception of dimensionality in an interactive way not possible with Escher drawings or Penrose triangles." Previews PS3 Fanboy Hands-on: SOCOM Confrontation "Take into consideration that almost everything you can see, you can get to. More importantly, note that almost every building in the game can be entered as well, maximizing the playable area within each territory."
