Ladies and gentlemen, we gather here today to mourn the dearly departed. Mob #4,512 was in our lives but for a brief moment, but that time might as well have been endless. Through combat and conflict, we gazed into each other's soul and found a connection, a yearning, a wanting. Then Mob #4,512 kicked the bucket and we looted whatever we could off its corpse before rigor mortis set in. But Mob #4,512 won't just be remembered for what it did in life, but how it faced death -- and in which comical way it kicked the bucket. Who knew that dying involved so much staggering, flatulence and slapstick? Like Mob #4,512, we at Massively are sure that there's an enemy or two out there who has made an impression on you by the way it died. Perhaps it went down cursing and flailing, perhaps it burst into a thousand pieces, perhaps it ran in circles to the Benny Hill theme song. So what's your favorite mob death animation? Every morning, the Massively bloggers probe the minds of their readers with deep, thought-provoking questions about that most serious of topics: massively online gaming. We crave your opinions, so grab your caffeinated beverage of choice and chime in on today's Daily Grind!

  • The foot-moving thing? It happens. Want me to kill him again?

Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage fans will recognize my lame attempt to quote the line from The Rock (without digging out my copy.)Gitr noted on his blog yesterday that after he killed Frostmaw recently, he noticed something strange. Much like the foot of the Marine in the aforementioned movie, it's hand was still moving -- clenching and unclenching his staff -- even though it was clearly dead. I don't know if this is something that can be duplicated every time, but it would sure freak me out. About once or twice a month I get a somewhat more amusing graphical bug where the mob keeps "looking at me" even after it's dead, causing the body to spin on the ground if I run around it in circles. While some bugs are annoying, some like these are amusing and even interesting. What silly in-game anomalies like this have you seen?
