TUG is about to get a lot more metal. It's about to be so metal that you won't be able to handle all of the metal. At least, you'll need to be skilled with forging to handle all of the metal, as the game's initial implementation for metallurgy is coming to a test client near your desktop. The game has posted an update for backers explaining that the first pass is nearly complete, and the next game update will allow players to build a forge, make simple bronze age tools, and mine for important minerals. But what's it all worth if you can't show off to your friends? Multiplayer support is currently high on the priority list, with no specific ETA provided beyond a promise of another update in the near future. For more details on the developing features, check out the full update on Kickstarter.

If you've merely puttered around The Elder Scrolls Online on a beta weekend, you might not have realized the game boasts a robust crafting system to allow players to make their very own pointy sticks and other implements of blood and battle. A post on the official ESO site today shows off some of these crafted items and explains how different racial styles are achieved. Says the post, Smiths in Tamriel add their own personal touches to every weapon, shield, and piece of armor they forge, from choosing a racial style to imparting special bonuses they've learned called traits. Master blacksmiths, clothiers, and woodworkers can take ordinary arms and armor and, with the right materials, transform them into equipment worthy of a true hero. Click to enlarge the picture embedded after the cut to see 27 of the weapons in their full glory.

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft.Just a few questions today, because slow weekends are slow. Who wants to ask questions when you can be playing? Certainly not me. I will still answer questions, however. Let's jump right in with ender's question... What, in your own opinion, is the easiest faction to start to grind on for rep as a new level 80? I know there is the "championing" but with dailies etc, what seems to be the easiest?

Blacksmiths aren't being left out of the crafting spree and receive some new recipes of their own. Additionally, Miners get a new type of metal! Sort of.Hardened Khorium can be made by Miners as of patch 2.4, and is used in the new Smithing plans. Hardened Khorium isn't as frightening as it sounds, it doesn't require 10 bars like its Adamantite counterpart. The bad news is, Hardened Khorium Bars require Hardened Adamantite Bars. 3 Khorium Bars and 1 Hardened Adamantite Bar will net you a Hardened Khorium Bar. Who knew smelting was such a confusing process? Now the good stuff: Like Tailoring, Blacksmithing is receiving at least two new sets consisting of a breastplate and some gloves. The Hardened Khorium set is a set of DPS plate, and the Sunblessed set is Healing plate. Both sets have a total of 5 sockets, but they're a little less focused than the tailored gear. Red, blue and yellow sockets are all present here.Like the other new crafted gloves, the Blacksmithing gauntlets take a handful of Sunmotes. Aside from the Sunmotes, all of the other materials can be acquired in-game before the launch of 2.4. Primals, metals, nethers, those sorts of things. If you care to see the stats, go ahead and check them out after the jump. A special thanks goes out to MMO Champion for these images.
