Soldner-X 2 'The Last Chapter' DLC due this Nov.
PSN shmup Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype will get its first (and presumably last) DLC come November. "The Last Chapter" adds 13 new challenges, 11 trophies and a new ending for $5. Simultaneously, a free patch will be released that adds a new "Massive Attack" difficulty mode to the game.

Proving that the original release was more "prototype" than "final," a downloadable expansion is in the works for eastasiasoft's PSN shmup, Söldner X 2: Final Prototype.
European PSN releases for June 9
The critically acclaimed Joe Danger leaps over three flaming tractor-trailers and makes a perfect landing on the European PSN today. If you prefer your downloadable games to be a bit more portable, a large chunk of the PSP Essentials Collection has been discounted, bringing titles like Daxter, LocoRoco and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters into the "dirt cheap" price range. Also, Guitar Hero 5 continues a string of puzzling DLC additions, adding a free pack of various National Anthems. No, not this National Anthem. These National Anthems. Soldner-X 2 unleashes bullet hell this May on PSN
Soldner-X 2 has finally locked onto a release window. Coming this May, the PSN-exclusive shooter will provide more bullets and more bosses for hardcore shmup fans. Seriously, there may be too many bullets in this launch trailer (embedded after the break). With an added "challenge" mode for those of you that eat bullets for breakfast, Soldner-X 2 looks like a frustratingly fun addition for the PSN's summer catalog.%Gallery-85829%
Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype coming this Spring, adds Challenge mode
It's no secret that shmup fans love inflicting pain on themselves. That's why they'll undoubtedly love the news that the upcoming PSN-exclusive shooter Soldner-X 2 will feature a new "Challenge" mode -- as if the game wasn't going to be challenging enough! In this new mode, players will have to complete a variety of tasks in order to earn Trophies, bonus items and additional credits. Considering the near-impossible task of earning a 100 percent in the first game, this new mode is sure to further frustrate and delight hardcore gamers. Soldner-X 2 will be available on the PlayStation Network some time this Spring. %Gallery-85829%
Soldner-X flies again on PSN
Eastasiasoft, the publishing branch of import retailer Play-Asia, released its first PC game in late 2007, a horizontal shooter called Söldner-X: Himmelsstürmer. It came out on PSN a year later. The company has just announced its second game, this time exclusively for the PS3's PlayStation Network: Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype. Unfortunately, the lack of a PC version means no huge limited edition box!The Sidequest Studios-developed shooter is expected out this winter, but then the PSN version of the first game missed its original release date by a year.
