YouTube Music with offline listening comes to Wear OS 2
Google is rolling out the app gradually, starting with models from Mobvoi, as well as Fossil and Michael Kors.
The latest TicWatch Pro includes 4G LTE to free you from your phone
Mobvoi's second generation TicWatch Pro is available today, and the company hopes it will free you from your phone. The Wear OS-powered TicWatch Pro 4G/LTE offers wireless connectivity, so you can receive voice calls and app notifications, send and receive texts and use popular messaging apps. You can also hit an SOS button that will dial 911, and it will automatically sync your data with the cloud -- all without tethering you to another device.
Mobvoi's swim-ready TicWatches are now available starting at $160
Mobvoi, a Google-backed AI company, is fleshing out the features of its new line of smartwatches set to arrive today. The TicWatch S2 and E2, announced earlier this month at CES 2019, have the active lifestyle in mind with a new suite of fitness tracking features called TicMotion. Mobvoi also announced the E2 model will retail for $159.99 while the S2 will go for $179.99.
Google-backed TicWatches now have a workout mode for swimming
Mobvoi is upgrading its TicWatch smartwatches for 2019, with a focus on battery life, durability and style. The TicWatch S2 and E2, second-generation versions of the S and E, come packing a 415mAh battery, 30 percent bigger than the original. Similarly, the devices are now waterproof to 5 ATM, compared to the IP67 rating found on the two predecessors. That means, rather than coping just a meter of water, both timepieces will survive in depths of up to 40 meters.
Mobvoi’s TicWatch C2 brings classic looks to Wear OS
Mobvoi, the maker of some surprisingly good and cheap Android smartwatches, has added a new wearable to its lineup. The company announced the arrival of the TicWatch C2, a Wear OS-powered update of its Classic smartwatch.
The 'dual-screen' Ticwatch Pro costs $250
For years, smartwatch makers have struggled to make batteries that last longer than two days -- whether it's by adding ultra low power modes or using your body heat. AI company Mobvoi's approach is to develop a new type of display that sips energy, so that it can last up to 30 days. The technology debuts in the Ticwatch Pro, which is now available on Amazon's Exclusives program, and only for Prime members through August 15th. For $250, the Ticwatch Pro offers an impressive array of features, including the battery-maximizing screen.
$99 buys you a useful, but plain, Android Wear watch
When you think about all the Android Wear watches on the market, you probably recall LG, Huawei, Michael Kors or Tag Heuer. Google typically partners with heavyweights in tech and fashion. So it's intriguing to see a small, obscure startup like Mobvoi offer its own Android Wear watch. What's most interesting, though, is the Ticwatch E's price tag: just $99.
