The opening announcement on the game is currently letting us know that realms will be down for maintenance tomorrow from 5:00 a.m. PDT until 11:00 a.m. PDT. While the realms are going to be down, we are not expecting patch 3.0.2 to drop.Earlier last week it was announced that 3.0.2 would come when season 4 ended. Season 4 was announced to end on October 14th, and thus we are all expecting patch 3.0.2 to come on October 14th.However if for some reason it starts raining cats and dogs and the patch does drop, we'll let you know. But I wouldn't count on it.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone! The servers will be down for a short maintenance today, from 5 AM to 11 AM PDT. During this time, Blizzard plans to upgrade some of their hardware to prepare for the Wrath of the Lich King. While some people are hoping for 3.0 in addition, there's no word of it as of this writing, and I wouldn't hold my breath. I don't think they'd want to patch and upgrade hardware at the same time, and if they did, they'd definitely have planned for a 3 AM to 11 AM extended downtime. So I'm guessing we have at least another week before we see the patch. In the meantime, you can keep yourself occupied by reading up on all of our Wrath Beta and 3.0 PTR news. Here's some of the best stuff from the past week:

Good Tuesday morning, everyone! Most of us will be getting away just a quick set of rolling restarts at 5AM PDT today, but there is a handful of servers that will be going down for extended maintenance from 3AM PDT to 11AM PDT. Those servers include Azjol-Nerub, Bloodscalp, Bonechewer, Boulderfist, Bronzebeard, Crushridge, Daggerspine, Darkspear, Draenor, Dragonblight, Dragonmaw, Dunemaul, Eldre'Thalas, Feathermoon, Firetree, Frostmane, Gurubashi, Nathrezim, Perenolde, Scarlet Crusade, Shadow Council, Shadowsong, Silvermoon, Skywall, Smolderthorn, Spirestone, Stonemaul, Stormscale, Suramar, Terenas, Uldum, Windrunner. As always, for those who play on the affected servers, or those who are unable to play WoW at the moment, let me suggest some articles from the past week. There was certainly a lot of news to discuss, with build 8885 going up on the Wrath Beta servers and a good smattering of con news as well. Let's check it out: Hot News and Features If you haven't done your WoW Crossword for the week yet, it's a perfect way to waste time while waiting for your server to restart. 1-60 in 20 minutes? It's no joke. Welcome to the brave new world of WoW leveling, courtesy of Refer-A-Friend! It seem like most retailers are expecting Wrath to come out on November 4th. Still, it's best to take any release date not officially announced by Blizzard with a huge grain of salt. Ever wondered how much work it is for our characters to run everywhere in Azeroth? These folks hooked up a treadmill to find out for themselves. Raid stacking will be getting a huge overhaul come patch 3.0.2. We're talking massive, game-changing stuff here. If you raid or plan to raid at the 10 or 25-man level in the future, you should check it out. Breaking News: Bambi invades Wrath of the Lich King! We're serious. Tons of new character titles are coming with Wrath of the Lich King. Comcast has announced a bandwidth cap, it's true, but don't worry. It probably won't affect your WoW playing.

  • Extended maintenance for Tuesday, July 29th

Get your play time in and make sure to finish all your raids and instances before 3:00am PDT as Blizzard poster Adidan has announced that Tuesday's regular maintenance will be an extended one. We aren't expecting a new patch (a Wrath surprise? We wish!), so the expected downtime of 8 hours from 3:00am to 11:00am PDT seems to be nothing beyond the standard. For those in Beta, it's likely that the Northrend and Lich King will be down for a new build, too, so you'll have to figure out something to do with your downtime like the rest of us mortals (such as read WoW Insider, for example).

  • The Tuesday Morning Post: Is it 2.4.3 time yet?

While it seems like this would be the perfect time for Patch 2.4.3 to go live -- we have people look to redeem both Tyrael pet codes and new TCG reward codes after all -- there doesn't seem to be any sign that they plan to put the patch out tonight as of this writing, despite the extended downtime of 3am-11am PDT. It still might show up though, so of course we'll let you know if it goes down. In the meantime, how about checking the Tuesday Morning Roundup to see what you may have missed here on the site this week? We still don't have a release date for WoTLK. For that matter, we don't even have a release date for Blizzcon tickets, where there's a good chance the release date will be announced. That's not kept us from gathering all the WoTLK news and analysis that's fit to print. Here's a selection of some of the best from last week:
