Warcraft move actor Rob Kazinsky talked a bit with website zap2it about his impressions of the movie's set, at it's all positive. He gave a glowing review of the interiors, saying that they "were some of the most amazing grandiose things I've ever seen in my entire life." Kazinsky asserted that it was clear the Warcraft team "spared no expense on quality, on building things to be representative of the game and of the highest realism." He explains that there were plenty of green-screens in filming as well, and that plenty of the creatures involved absolutely needed to be digitally rendered, and couldn't be done with makeup. That probably comes as no surprise to those of us who play the game--it would be pretty tough to create a flying dragon outside of a computer! It's good news to hear about how excited Kazinsky is about the Warcraft movie project. He was once an avid WoW player himself, and I'm sure it was a real thrill to be part of the project. Many of us are eagerly awaiting the film's release, so it's good to know that the people involved share our enthusiasm.

Legendary Pictures has announced two more actors who will participate in the Warcraft movie, due to be released in March of 2016. WARCRAFT by @Legendary from @UniversalPics coming March 11, 2016 cast to also include @danielwuyanzu and Clancy Brown. - World of Warcraft (@Warcraft) December 19, 2013 While you might not necessarily be extremely familiar with these guys and their work, their histories are pretty impressive. Clancy Brown is an actor who principally focuses on voiceover, well-known for his parts in Shawshank Redemption, Highlander where he was Kurgan, Starship Troopers, and of course as Mr. Krabs in Spongebob Squarepants! His most recent film, Homefront, is in cinemas now. Daniel Wu is very well-known indeed in Chinese-language film, principally as an actor, but also a director and producer. He's been in over 40 films and won various awards, including a Hong Kong Film award for directing work in The Heavenly Kings. He most recently appeared in The Europa Report this year.

Though it seemed likely we'd hear something about casting for the Warcraft movie at BlizzCon, the movie panel remained close-lipped on the subject of stars. Tonight, however, Legendary Pictures made the first cast announcement via Twitter. WARCRAFT movie fans! Cast reveal: Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, & Rob Kazinsky. Cc: @Warcraft (1/2) - Legendary (@Legendary) December 5, 2013 We'd heard rumors about some of these -- like Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton -- but now we know for sure. So now,on to the next question: who are these actors going to be playing? With filming starting in January, hopefully we'll hear more details soon.

This week the Warcraft movie secured itself a new director after losing Sam Raimi last year. The new director will be Duncan Jones, the director of Moon and Source Code, who had expressed an interest at directing the film while Sam Raimi was still attached to the project. Personally, I'm happy to see Jones taking on the project ... Not because I love Jones (he's fine) but because I was worried an adaption by Sam Raimi would be too lighthearted for my tastes. If I had it my way every film would be directed by Christopher Nolan. So now that we have a director, let's write up our dream cast list again. For those of you who have been reading WoW Insider a long time, you'll know I already wrote mine a couple of years ago, so now it's your turn to take a stab at it. Oh yeah, and what are you playing this weekend? Pfft, just tell us your dream cast list! It's way more fun. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'm currently trying to resist purchasing The Cave on Steam. We'll see if that holds out over the weekend or not. Other than that, a little raiding and a whole lot of writing. Bonus question: Man I have no idea, but if they don't at least consider Michele Morrow (@michelemorrow) as Sylvanas I am going to be a little sad.
