Wii pre-orders take Japan by storm
1UP was on-hand for today's pre-order frenzy over in the land of the rising fun and, from the looks of the pictures, they want the console a lot more than we do. Oh, well tough break Japan! We get it first!Most interesting, however, is how 1UP talks about back when they pre-ordered and later purchased the DS. Back then, not everyone held a ticket on the NIntendo hype train. Oh, how things have changed. Now, lines wrap around areas no man thought a line could wrap and the anticipation for Nintendo's latest console can be compared to waiting in line to see some incredibly popular celebrity. The Wii: more popular than the pope.
