There are plenty of good third-party Windows email apps out there, but not many of them work across all the platforms you might use. If you're the type of person who jumps between macOS and Windows, Newton (formerly CloudMagic) might be worth a look. Today, the company is bringing its app to Windows -- it should be available on the Windows Store now. With Newton already available on macOS, Android and iOS (not to mention the Apple Watch and Android Wear), it's now one of only a few email apps that works on basically any device.

Rejoice everyone using the Facebook app on Windows 10: Now you can start a Facebook Live broadcast from your tablet or desktop. Pretty neat, right? As WinBeta notes, the update is slowly rolling out, so you might not see the "Go Live" button (screenshotted below) in the status update field just yet. Previously, this was only available via the mobile apps, but we're living in the future so anything's possible these days. Who knows, it might not be long before we see the next Chewbacca mask video.

The Windows Store isn't exactly known for being a robust app marketplace, and Microsoft knows it. The company is always looking for new ways to attract developers to the platform. In the past, Microsoft made tools designed to port iOS and Android apps to Windows, and created the Universal app system that puts all Windows apps on the same platform. Now, Microsoft has updated its App Studio to allow users to create, prototype and submit an app for release from the comfort of a web browser -- without installing Visual Studio or writing a single line of code. It works, too: I just created a functional Windows 10 app in less than ten minutes.
