Ever since the World Cup ended so many months ago, my life has felt so muted, and empty. Thankfully, Gamestop is trying to take away the pain with an awesome deal on World Tour Soccer 06. The critics gave it okay reviews, and It's considered the best game of football soccer on Sony's handheld, and it's dropped down to a measly $8 (that's a $32 price drop!).You may want to try the downloadable demo first. Then, if you want the full game, don't forget to use coupon code SAVER to get free budget shipping.

Every month, Sony offers an EXE file they call the "Content Pack" which contains a variety of files, like videos, music and wallpapers for your PSP. This month is no different. This pack arrives late as usual (so I guess mid-month is the new time for these things), this month's content pack features an explosive FlatOut 2 (PS2) trailer. In addition, you'll get some really hot Gangs of London wallpapers (pictured), Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters wallpapers, and the World Tour Soccer 2 demo. But, be warned: the media on this month's pack is formatted for PSP users that have 2.80 firmware or above.

Comic-Con shouldn't be such a hotbed of video game news, but this year, it's proven otherwise. Sony revealed some crucial new features of the PSP today: PSP will work as a remote for the PS3. Advertisements for the budget Greatest Hits collection will be released on July 25. PSP's firmware update next Thursday will offer RSS Video feed support for its web browser. Thursday's firmware update will also have a demo of World Tour Soccer 2. There are no plans to improve text entry on the PSP and no plans for a first-party keyboard. Sony's in talks with wi-fi providers to make it easier for PSP owners to connect. (Similar to Nintendo's deal with Wayport?) Video-out (to connect to a TV/computer) is a feature that they're working on. Connect wants to provide video content to the PSP, but can't seem to find the right way to implement DRM. (But doesn't firmware 2.6+ offer DRM video support?) [Via IGN][Update 1: Removed bit about UMD movie support.]
