Iconic WCW wrestler Sting was revealed as a pre-order bonus for WWE 2K15 during last night's episode of Monday Night Raw. Both Sting's blonde-haired "surfer" gimmick from the late 1980s and early 1990s as well as his black and white-painted "crow" outfit will be available to play in the game by pre-order customers. WWE 2K15 will launch October 28 in North America and October 31 internationally for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. It's the first WWE game to debut on the next-generation systems, and also the first to be co-developed by series veterans Yukes and Visual Concepts, developer of the NBA 2K basketball series. The game's cover will feature John Cena, though it's unknown if 2K Sports will wise up and put Sting on the cover for pre-order buyers. [Image: 2K Sports]

TNA wrestler Cristian Cage (a.k.a Jason Reso) is a hardcore gamer. That's not very surprising -- plenty of sports stars these days take their love of competition to the consoles. Cage is now writing a monthly column for GameTap. That's not too surprising -- gaming sites all over are looking for well-known names and original voices to speak to gamers in a new way. Cage's column is actually pretty good. That ... is kind of surprising. No, Cage's first column isn't going to change the way you look at gaming or anything, but the introduction managed to hold our interest with tales of motion-capping, fame-coping and Top Spin 2 addiction/domination. Whatever you think of the writing, you have to admit it's decidedly different from most of the nigh-indistinguishable game writing out there. For that, we're very grateful.

  • WWE star Kane professes love of PSP

WWE wrestling superstar Kane loves the PSP ... and so should you. When traveling on his cross-country flights, the celebrity can be often seen playing a match of WWE Smackdown on Sony's portable. "The PSP is a pretty popular system because it doesn't take up a lot of room," said Kane. "It has the Wi-Fi connections so the guys can play each other. We've had some long trips overseas and the guys will actually get some games going on the PSPs. One of the best time-passes I've ever had on a transatlantic flight was a three-way tables, ladders and chairs match with me playing as myself and then the other two guys were playing as Shelton Benjamin and the 80s Hulk Hogan. We had like an hour-long match. With the portability, you don't lose much in gameplay and graphics because it's such an awesome little machine."The wrestler admits that he has a bias for wrestling games, but that's not all he likes in the PSP library. "I've played the PSP version of the game and it's probably the best game on the PSP, and that's saying a lot because the PSP has a lot of good games on it," he notes. You could choose to disagree with him, but then, he'd probably just kill you.[Via Yahoo!]
