Treo 650 sound quality problem?

Suddenly we're feeling a lot better about not rushing out and buying one: as if crippled Bluetooth, lack of WiFi support, and memory issues weren't enough, apparently another problem with the new Treo 650 has popped up. It could be a network issue or something to do with its built-in microphone, but a bunch of people over at TreoCentral are complaining that when they call somebody with the Treo 650, the person they're talking to says that their voice sounds clipped, or choppy, or overly digitized.
