KiSS Technologies @ CES - The KiSS MediaMate, High Definition Plasma, and 558 Digital Video Recorder
Yesterday was the last day of CES, so it's a little late to make your requests, but Rohit wrote in to remind us that we needed to hit KiSS Technologies' booth before we skipped town, and we were happy to oblige. Click to see a little roundup of what we saw there.
Among what we saw there:
The KiSS MediaMate, one of those wireless digital media adapters for streaming music, video, and digital photos from
your PC to your TV and stereo. This one has support for MPEG-4 and WMV video files and MP3 and OGG audio files, stream
online content (like movies from CinemaNow), display high definition IP TV (assuming you can find any of it).
The KiSS DP-558, a digital video recorder that can record up to 120 hours of video and that also has an Ethernet port
for streaming Internet radio stations, as well as DivX, Nero Digital, MPEG-4, and XviD video files and MP3, WMA, and
Ogg Vorbis audio files from your PC.
The KiSS High Definition Plasma, a 42-inch plasma TV, which besides coming with a built-in progressive scan DVD
player, also has an integrated digital media adapter with 802.11a/g WiFi for wirelessly streaming audio and video files
(like MPEG4, DivX, XviD video files and MP3 and OGG audio files) that are stored on your PCs hard drive.

I am sure they copied an apple product that doesn't even exist. yea.
That dvr looks like it has a dvd drive too. Does it record dvds?

Dear Joey,
I think Rumle and Philip were *maybe* suggesting, if anything, that the widely-regarded-as-fake photos of the "iHome" were in fact pictures of THIS unit modified to look like an Apple product. No one was suggesting that KISS copied an apple product that not only doesn't exist, but is also an obvious fake. Please keep your idiotic comments to yourself from now on.
Thank you,
The Management

Thanks for taking my request!
Talking of knock offs, KiSS seems to have created a fairly good imitation of the gazillion dollar Bang & Olufsen Plasma. Lets hope its not the same price.
The biggest issue with KiSS has been getting their stuff in the states (who else puts a harddrive, networking and divx in almost everything they make) but a good sign is that amazon has their stuff on pre-order.
Now if they could add CableCard, I would pair it with the buffalo TeraStation and I would have da perfect home media setup!
