Wireless Nintendo DS… no, really!

Nintendo DS Linkup

Jadrule let us down, yes. But apparently, Tim Schuerewegen has produced something that's not vaporware that gets your PC talking with your Nintendo DS wirelessly, to create what is essentially a virtual PassMe. The Wireless Multiboot "PassMe" hack fools the DS into running DS code from the GBA slot, obviating the need to buy a PassMe to run homebrew binaries. There are still some caveats with this, namely a long load time, compatibility only with Windows 2000/XP, and the requirement of a very specific chipset in your wireless card (RT2560). Nevertheless, it's a foot in the door for other hackers to have their evil ways with the DS (hint, hint).

[Thanks, lokey]
