PSP's got a Rechargable Handle Pad
Maybe you're still a little depressed about Sony getting
barred from selling PS2s because their dual-shock
controllers infringe on patents, or maybe you're just about making that slick little PSP a slight bit more
ghettofab—we're not asking why about the "Rechargable Handle Pad", we're just glad Dragonplus (whoever they
are) at least had the good nature to use that extra space to stack on another 4-5 hours of battery life for doing your
thang.

MadCatz is actually going to release an extended battery pack that does not horribly alter the look of your PSP - you remote the PSP's battery door, and the MadCatz battery is sculpted just like it! Great idea.

Is someone watching porn on their PSP? hmm?
I Was under the impression sony COULD still sell PS2, and jsut not the controllers. The controllers violate the patent, not the PS2 itself?
Yeah, Im all for a shit-shaped PSP.
they probably could sell PS2 as long as they unbundle the controller... except how useful will be the console without a controller???
wow this is great! I wonder what else it could do. hmmmm... *wink* u know what im talking about!!!!
My god #2, i thought you were kidding about the stylus; rofl.
But come on; when any cool new gadget/gaming device comes out, Endgadget is all over it, rightly so.
They were all over DS if thats what you want,, just stop whining, because some engadget readers find the PSP related articles good to read...
Well, Engadget is a gadget blog, PSP is the gadget du jour. Go figure.
As to Sony, they have been enjoined from selling the PS2 in total. That injunction is however on hold pending the [inevitable, and prolonged] appeal.
The ergonomics of the PSP make my left thumb ACHE. The thing is killing my left hand, and anyone who can come up witha good, cheap dual-shock-style grip deseves a bit of praise. Damned thing's going to get scratched up anyway.
And the real question is: who *isn't* watching porn on their PSP?? The second "P" is for "Pornable," after all.
gabu
that keychain... F.C. Barcelona! dude is a spanish football fan
I already get a lot of use from the Intec version of this for the original GBA. It paid for itself several times over just in the cost of batteries. Kid oriented handheld games are too small for my hands without this kind of add-on.
This totally reminds me of the game gear. the battery holes were on the back where those handles would attach. Multiple third party vendors made rechargable battery packs that went in those holes and also provided extra grips and battery life. Will the PSP end up like the game gear? It looks more like it every day.
this is kinda off the wall, but im in iraq, deployed, does the psp have a power converter like laptops. i made the mistake of plugging my x box in 220 and i dont want to do that again.
Hahah! The PSP replacement stylus was golden.
I don't think these grips are entirely a bad thing, whatever keeps me from opening the mem stick door while using the analog stick, but why does the cable have to stretch all the way across like that?
Doesn't anyone hire good industrial designers anymore?
Gabe.. I thought I was the only one whose hand was all bent outta shape when playing the PSP!!!
Here's my review of it with pics of hand positioning:

oh, thank god for more aching hands like mine! i have yet to see one of these show up in the loacal wal-mart though. anyone know how long it'll be before the mad catz guys get one of those out?
ddowell, now i'm not taking responsibility when you plug your PSP in, but my PSP AC-Adaptor says "100-240V" (input) so i'm guessing it SHOULD be okay
I used to live in the United Arab Emirates and had to get damn transformers for everything so I konw what it's like lol
