The Orange SPV C550 is for real
We had to dish out the usual round of disclaimers back in February when some details about what was supposedly going to be the successor to Orange's popular SPV C500 Windows Mobile-powered Smartphone (aka the Audiovox SMT 5600) leaked out, but we can safely report that the existence of the SPV C550 has been confirmed courtesy of a listing on a British retail site. They don't get down and dirty with the specs (other than that it has a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, Bluetooth, and a miniSD memory card slot), so there's no way to verify whether the SPV C550 does actually have a 240x320 resolution, 65,000 color, QVGA LCD screen or not, but they do say that they expect the phone to come out sometime next month.
