The Reva-NXG electric concept car
Where other whimpier electric vehicles fall short, Bangalore (not to be confused with Bangladesh, Americans) firm Reva Electric Car Co.'s Reva-NXG concept car totally steps up. The little bugger—jointly developed with Simputer developer Encore Software—can roll on chrome up to 125 miles at up to 75mph. Not that you'd want to go 75mph in that thing, but it's nice to know you can make a speedy getaway even though your friends think you're cruising in a pow-pow-Powerwheels. And what's more, it comes geared up with a wireless touchscreen dashboard with a GPS receiver, GPRS data connection, and MP3 playback feature. Crank the bass, yo, we rollin' with the top down now.
