iGuy = Gumby for your iPod

We tried to ignore this the first 12 times it came in to the tip jar, but after several hundred more we decided to stem the deluge and just publish it already. iGuy is a, um, "friend" for your iPod. It's rubberized projection, it's wacky camaraderie, it's Gumby for your iPod/iPod Photo. $34.95. iGuy for iPod mini to descend in June. End of story.

This is worth mentioning: Their website has a picture of "him" in the dock... this thing has a hinge at the bottom that you swing forward so the iPod "sits" on the dock with his feet forward

lighten up people, and stop taking your gadgets so seriously. it's classic kitsch, and people loves them some kitsch. it'll fit right in with all the other figurines and pop culture icons on your desk. but i do agree that it's overpriced at $40. i'll grab one in a month or so as a $9.99 clearance item.

I find it hilarious that iPod accessories start at $20 and go up from there... for little pieces of rubber! $0.25 worth of material, if that! What sucks is that if you're buying a gift for someone you can't very well look for them sans markup on eBay, becuase you sorta want to know what you're getting before you order it, you know?
