Siemens doing cellphone joint-venture with BenQ?

The official announcement isn't until tomorrow, but it looks like the Siemens is fobbing their failing mobile division off on BenQ, of all companies, which is apparently going to be their partner in a new cellphone joint-venture. Details are sketchy, at the moment, but this actually could be a good match: Siemens has been trying to unload this profit-challenged division for months and months, and a joint-venture would catapult BenQ, which is still a bit player in the cellphones biz, straight into the top five.
