BenQ's 5ms FP71V+ display hits stores
BenQ's FP71V+ may look like yet another 17-inch LCD display, but it offers something that we hope will become standard on other displays: faster response time. According to BenQ, the display has a 5ms GTG (gray-to-gray) response time, which means that it should have less of the ghosting and jitters common to LCDs. While that should be good news to gamers and video-watchers, it comes at a price: expect to pay about $400 for this one, compared to well under $300 for some 8ms 17-inch displays. The price is on par, however, with what you'd pay for one of Viewsonic's 4ms displays, so we hope to see some price-cutting soon enough.
