Mustek's new PL736 portable DVD player
Mustek's new PL736 portable DVD player does what the Coby TF-DVD500 does, but better. The PL736 is capable of progressive scan DVD/DVD±RW/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/JPEG and Kodak Picture CD playback on its tiny (for portable DVD players) 3.6-inch TFT with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It features integrated stereo speakers, anti-shock protection, a Dolby Digital decoder, TV-out, and built-in MMC/SD slot. Sorry torrent boys, but it does not support MPEG4 or DivX. At one pound and 6.5 x 5.3 x 1.3-inches, they claim the unit is ultra-compact, but there are other players out there with similardimensions and features with bigger displays — which is kinda important, dontchathink?
