Toshiba drops Plasma in favor of SED

We're still celebrating yesterday's announcement that Canon and Toshiba have started to produce SED panels for HDTVs, but perhaps there's more to celebrate. Although they aren't a major player in the PDP market, Toshiba is abandoning plasma TVs so they can concentrate on SED TVs. That in itself isn't celebratory news, but we're betting that if you want pick up a Toshiba PDP, they might be dropping in price real soon. If you can't wait for SED and want to hang a flat-panel on your wall this year, keep your eyes out for some closeout deals.
