More deets on that BlackBerry 7130e
That was snappy—already some info on the BlackBerry
7130e is surfacing sourced from forums, which according to some pegs the new device as having EV-DO (as previously
seen), as well as 64MB flash memory, 16MB RAM, Bluetooth, and a new, 8700-like look. Most peculiar, however, is the
"built in photo album," which, of course, implies this device could be a cameraphone. Cameraphone? Blackberry? Surely
you jest—but you gotta give it up!

The 7100t has a pretty barebones (read: lame) photo application.
16 MB RAM?? Surely you jest.
No way BB will release a cameraphone. They're geared towards the corporate/gov world and those worlds do not appreciate cameraphones.
The other 7100's have a "photo album" if that's what you can call it. My 7100t came loaded with a handful of dandy nature shots that you can use as wallpaper. I will bet anything I can get my hands on that this phone will not have a camera. I will also bet that as long as BlackBerry's remain a business-oriented product and as long as cell-phone cameras have limited practical business use, there will be no camera-equipped BlackBerry.
Our Blackberry Rep has specifically stated that neither the 7130e nor the 8700 will have a camera on them. Unless he was trying to throw us off or was spouting garbage, I can't see why he would lie about it.
it still doesnt have a full keyboard, which is a shame
i have a 7280, tried the 7100 and it sucks... even with the annoying spell guesser
the overuse of 'deets' in your headlines is getting really annoying.
nice products if they ever get to sell them.
Photo album does not mean there will be a camera. There are current blackberry devices with photo albums and no camera.
OK, here we go.
NEVER SAY "DEETS" AGAIN. It's like stabbing my brain with a dull fork.
It's for a different market, Tommyboy. Get the 8300 for a keypad. New users seem to adept to the hyphenated keyboard pretty well (I work in a T-mobile store).
My first impression is that the keypas looks easier to use with softer and bigger buttons. Very nice.
Anyone know when this will be released? Also, forgive me as I'm a complete BB newb, but if my company has standarized on T-Mobile 7100's with BES, can I use a Verizon BB on the same system?
How much memory does a blackbeery have? My 7290 currently is synced with outlook on pc and holds 2038 contacts. How many can it hold ? I would like to see a blackbeery that uses sd cards like a treo does or maybe I am behind the times and they already do?
I've been a 7100 user for over a year. I do periodically have the urge to throw the thing out of a moving vehicle when the spell-guesser screws me, but all in all the tiny form factor more than makes up for the occasional gibberish. If there's a way to route the EV-DO through bluetooth so my laptop can enjoy the high-bandwidth love I'll be all over this device.
