Oct 30: What's on HDTV today

Chase for the Cup

What we're watching
:

I'm giving it up for CBS tonight, since they're jumping on the spooky season with a high-def made for TV movie called "Vampire Bats." This 1080i presentation starts at 9 p.m. and features Lucy Lawless and Dylan Neal reprising their roles from "Locusts." I wonder if they're in contract negotiations to star in "We can Handle Snakes Too" and "We're Buggy for Bugs."

During the day, you've got the typical football fare in high-def on CBS and Fox, but you probably already knew that. After all, it is Sunday right? I'll be dropping by NBC at 12:30 p.m. for the NASCAR race in 1080i from Hampton Motor Speedway near Atlanta. This track was hit by a a huge storm over the summer, so tons of money and effort quickly went into the repairs. Why is the race that important for the quick fix? It's the 7th race of the 10-race Chase for the Cup silly!

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
