Samsung promises 10GB musicphone next year
The ROKR E1 just keeps looking worse and worse
every day. Not that it was ever cutting edge, even upon its introduction, but the first iTunes phone continues to get
schooled by musicphones with more features, higher capacities, and more stylish designs. And with Samsung's
announcement today of a planned 10GB flip phone (the followup to their 3GB
SPH-V7900, pictured), the 100-song ROKR just got knocked
down yet another peg. Don't worry though, Ed, once the iTunes-powered
V3x hits the market, we'll all forget about
the E1 and once again bask in the rays of your brilliant leadership.

I'm probably wrong, but wasn't it Job's that made the 100 song limit and not the phone?
If so a 10GB phone still equals 100 songs.

100 DRMd songs on the CRPR. You can have more MP3 songs. Hopefully other vendors will use PlaysForSure and make the phone useful.
& it will only be release in South Korea...
I often wonder how much longer it will be before the U.S. will get any mobile phones that are worth having! ! ! ! ! !
Yes, I believe it was Jobs that limited the songs to 100 so it wouldn't steal market share from the iPod but 10GB certainly does not equal 100 songs. 10GB is thousands of mp3s.
No, it was Motorola that limited the songs to 100 to limit the market share loss to service providers' ringtone sales.

I was referencing the “iTunes-powered “statement however if it was Apple it appears they played Cingular.
Free iTunes advertising, for Job's, on a device that is severely limited(flop). I did see a hot babe doing the iTunes stroll.
If you need 10 Gigs you don't need a phone you need an ipod. Lets slap 2 gigs in a Motorolla RAZR with iTunes and call it a day. Seriously, all this back and forth about what who is gonna do with what when if Motorolla and Cingular were to combine the powers of their two most popular phones, they wouldn't be able to make enough of them.
